great place, actually it is a "home in other country" like they say, he wad a great time there, even did a barbeque, and its very comfortable to sit by the chimney.

Fantastic hostel, really clean, lockers, amazing fireplace and the staff were great. The asado was AMAZING.

Not as good as we expected but ok. Only one computer, and doors to the hostel and dorms were left open at all times. The 2 members of staff we encountered could not have cared less, very disinterested. The atmosphere was nice, good common area with a real fire, big dorms and a pretty good free breakfast. The bunk beds were very high and didn't have any sort of bar/barrier. It was clean and fine for a night!

Nice spacious dorms with lockers.Breakfast prob the lamest I´ve seen.But the real disap was the staff, esp the chick who looked like she was about to slit her wrists.Showed me the room,with no free beds in it.She picked one, tossed me my linen and took off.Fine, whatever.Later that evening,I´m going to bed and sure enough,someone´s sleeping on it.They move me to another room,but still the only place where I had to prepare my own bed,twice,on my first day. With 0 apologies.

Top bunks are high and with no bars- perilous! In order to have a shower I had to extract about a tennis ball sized hairball from the plughole- . Breakfast is ok. Location is ok. Fireplace is nice.

Very good hostel, but doesn't have too much fun there. If you looking just for a good and clean place to sleep, it's perfect. The staff is ok, but is not very helpful (specially a girl who never smile). But I still recomend the hostel.

everything's cool except that IT IS SO LOUD - the walls reverberate with every passing vehicle and the traffic should be banned in the historical parts completely. But the walls & windows here are so thin that it was impossible to sleep - the cars were zooming by at every hour

The place is awesome, the staff is great and they managed to create a wonderful atmosphere of integration and sharing. I think the major area of improvement is hot water which did not come easy to me. As the winter gets coler, they might need to figure out in room heating, but this was not an issue during this stay. Beyond that the place is awesome.

Sur was a fantastic hostel. One of the best I've stayed in, and definitely my favorite. The guys there were a ton of fun and very welcoming. The roaring fire in the fireplace, and the warm people make it a wonderful home while you're traveling. The great people made for a great time! The rooms were spacious and clean, and kitchen and living room were large enough to accommodate everyone. The staff could not have been more helpful! Wish we could have stayed longer! You're awesome!

Fantastic hostel, one of the better ones we had in South America. The staff a very friendly and the facilities are everything you can ask for. If you are spending the night in Colonia then definitely choose this hostel. 5 stars

Just felt at home! Loved the house and the outside spaces. Great staff!!! Just 3 min walk from the bus and boat stations and 5 min walk from the old city center.

Modern hostel near to bus and ferry terminals and also not far from the old town. Very nice and comfortable communal areas. On the morning we left, the staff started breakfast early for us so we could eat before we left, which was much appreciated.

Spotlessly clean hostel close to the bus and ferry terminals - the building is newly fitted out, even has a sun terrace. Breakfast is the usual bread n cereal.

Really nice hostel in an excellent location with a great rooftop terrace for hanging out. We had a lot of fun here!

Great place to crash for one or two nights, or stay for longer even. Staff were welcoming to both the short and long term travelers!

Nothing hugely special. Staff friendly and helpful, but then colonia isn't very big or complicated anyway. We had to put up with the bathroom doors slamming all night, woke up frequently.
