Decent place, well located, decent breakfast. Comfortable stay here.

The staff were having a party when we arrived and it took them ages to turn up and find our key. They were not very helpful and didn't even have the basic info like a city map. The room did not match the description online and it was extremely noisy because of the traffic and the music and shouting in the hostel. Definitely not worth the money as there are plenty of nicer places in colonia.

This is a nice hostel within walking distance to the bus station. Little hard to get assistance here as when we asked if the lighthouse was open we were told to go and have a look and they didn't know. It is clean, fairly convenient and safe but so is the whole of Colonia

El hostel, es hermoso, muy cómodo, el desayuno es nutritivo, fui en bicicleta, no tuvieron problema en guardármela, es totalmente seguro. Valoro, la limpieza de los sanitarios, ademas se podía observar, en una lista, en los horarios que los recepcionistas, realizan la limpieza. Lo unico que me sorprendió, me cobraron el servicio de wifi, cuando ingrese a la pagina, decía que la tarifa incluye el servicio, en ese momento no presente queja, porque estaba de vacaciones.

Really nice staff, beautiful house with filled with interesting people. Unfortunately I didn't have time to share the barbecue, since I had only one day to visit the city, but I think it is a great way to bring people together. Keep up with the great work.

Got a double room for 50 us total. Not worth it. Wifi only worked in lobby and was slow. You can get a nice hotel in town for the same amount.

Amazing hostel. Very big rooms in a way that one can be absolutely comfortable in a 8-bed dorm. Real cool staff and guests. The showers are awesome. Thanks for all!

The hostel was good, but just for one night it´s not so comfortable at all. The share bathroom is very old, the toilet needs to be repaired, the cover is from wood and oldest, so its not hygienic. Its a big house recycled. It was more beautiful in the photos, but with a bit work could be like that it shows on the web. The breakfast was acceptable, somo bread , butter and jam, the bring coffee, milk, and tea. The hostel its ok, just for one night, or it depends in what you are looking for.

Todo hermoso... buena atención y lo mas importante!!!! Colchón excelente, y baños y cocina impecable... yo mas no puedo pedir!!!! y el día del chek out nos dejaron dejar las cosas ahi, y estar todo el tiempo que quisiéramos, solo tuvimos que desocupar la pieza, pero pudimos utilizar el resto de las instalaciones. Gracias por un fin de semana tan lindo!

Nice friendly hostel and a great BBQ evening. Very relaxed and welcoming for a female travelling on her own. Highly recommended.

Nice place, modern and clean. Typical plumbing issues but workable. Fan only, no air-con. Could improve on security of rooms, however Colonia is a quiet town and feels very safe.

I liked the open common areas of Sur Hostel. I met some great people and could cook everyday. The location was great and very easy to find from the ferry terminal. I also appreciate the breakfast - it included fruit.

The staff was great - very welcoming and helpful. They seem like they like their jobs and make conversation with the clients. The hostel is wonderfully clean!!!! After traveling around South America for months and staying at different hostels you come to really appreciate a clean shower and bathroom! I think the ones on the first floor are the cleanest but still all are clean! :) They have a big kitchen with great possibilities for cooking and as well as barbecue and rooftop. It is only 5 min fr
