The staff was great - very welcoming and helpful. They seem like they like their jobs and make conversation with the clients. The hostel is wonderfully clean!!!! After traveling around South America for months and staying at different hostels you come to really appreciate a clean shower and bathroom! I think the ones on the first floor are the cleanest but still all are clean! :) They have a big kitchen with great possibilities for cooking and as well as barbecue and rooftop. It is only 5 min fr

Uruguay as a whole is really expensive, still, i think $60 for a double with shared bathroom is too much. Room had no blinds (metal shutter on outside) a dirty couch, no wifi in room, no sheets till 6pm (when we had to make our own bed) & didn't include towels. Aside from these things, the staff were very nice and the kitchen big and well equipped. We did find cheaper rooms on other Uruguay hostel sites, but they required 3 days notice. Would recommend one of these if you're booking in advance.

Excellent hostel... I just think they should put some signs at the streets nearby, just to make easier to find.

The hostel was in a good location, walking distance from the old town and very close to the main street. The staff were helpful and there was a friendly international crowd who were easy to meet due to the good common areas. However, we felt that the double room was over priced considering it was not en suite.

Good clean kitchen and nice owner! He made our stay. He loves what he's doing and he likes to talk with travellers which is really nice. Good breakfast. If the bathrooms were cleaner we would definitely recommend this hostel.

The web site of the Hostel indicates that there are female rooms, but all of them are mixed-rooms. Apart from that, the Hostel applies its own exchange rate, it is not clarified previously. In fact, when you book the room online you received an e-mail with the remainder you are supposed to paid, but this is not real rate. I think in both cases (female rooms and rates) they should clarified all these in the web site before. I feel they were not completely sincere with the hostess

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi!! Thanks a lot for your review! About the female dorm, we made a mistake, that room should be never published, i am sorry about that. About the rate, here we use Uruguayan Peso or American dollars, if you book in other currency the web just show you a reference exchange rate. On the e mail confirmation is explained. Regards! Martin
