Hosts were very friendly but didn't speak any English. Also did not wake up before 10am which is awkward if you arrive or depart before that time. Expensive for what it is...

Only booked this hotel after the Bahaus Hostel was fully booked for the night that I needed. The Sur Pension was a little difficult to find, even though on the map it had appeared easy. For those not in the know regarding Istanbul, there are hotels etc that have a toilet and attached to the wall is a shower hose. This small toilet room becomes a showering room also. Another person I was with was really upset by this. The Bahaus did not have these problems. The rooms at the Sur Pension are tiny.

Very nice pension and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. A small problem is that they can't speak english at all, but their helpfulness is higher than all praises :) And no breakfast too, but tea is possible anytime. Like it !

Convenient, staff is very helpful. Not much English, but enough people around who do who can help. Rooms are small, but adequate. Beds are comfortable.

Although staff indeed doesn't speak English, they are friendly and nice people. The location is superb, and the quality of the en-suite private room for the price of a dormitory is definitely excellent value. I would stay there again, definitely recommended.
