One of the people who went to sleep late actually worked there, but he would still turn on the light every time (he came in and out several times throughout the night).

Cool location right on the beach but be warned.. The public bus takes over an hour to get from the bus depot near LAX to the hostel. Keep in mind for if you're in a hurry/don't have much time. Otherwise the hotel is a bit dilapidated but ok.

I got here straight from LAX. The location is great, right next to the beach. The hostel attracts a lot of surfer dudes, friendly and chilled-out types. I think it's more suited to solo travellers (like me) than big groups.

I felt safe at this Hostel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had bikes for rent (cheap) and the cost of our stay was very affordable! We ended up staying an extra night

If possible invest in nice ear plugs for hire...so that if people are worried about the noise they can just purchase some good noise cancelling ear plugs. Great hostel overall, keep up the customer service and friendly staff. :)

Good location in front of the beach and a lot of bar with dance floor closed to the hostel. Only problem: The drinks are so expensive on the bars, you can drink on the hostel before going out.

Francis was really helpful, also george who saved me a lot of time by giving me a cheap lift to the airport! Only downside really is that its difficult to get anywhere with public transport from hermosa beach.

Awesome location for the beach, and fronts right onto a pedestrian-only mall with bars, coffee shops, etc. All of LA requires a car if you are going to see the sights, and this location is no exception.

Hostel didn't really organize common activities, maybe it was low-season. However, we got a 6 bed room even though we had booked private room just for 4 us, and 1 was supposed to stay in dorms, thanks for that! :) Hostel surroundings were nice, right next to Hermosa Beach. Good place to stay, but not one of the best hostels I've stayed. Ask about the transportation to/from the airport, they can help you with that!

Nice enough hostel, if you like to surf or like the beach its ideal, 2min walk and your at the beach. However everything else is quite far away, 1 half - 2 hours to hollywood for example... otherwise clean enough and staff are friendly and helpful
