This hostel is dirty, above a noisy bar, parking is street parking a half mile away. Staff friendly but when I wanted to ask a question I waited for 15 minutes while she continued a personal conversation. Better choice is HI hostel in Santa Monica.

Its not to far away from the airport! It feels like everything is far away from eachother here in LA. The Hostel it self is good, I had a fun time. Breakfast was yummy. At the weekend its a little louder beacuse there are bars downstairs. Which I didn't mind.

Actually I am unable to comment on this hostel, as although we made our reservation about 4 or 5 months ago, when I emailed them about 5 days before we were due to arrive to confirm, I received an email saying they had a problem with their booking system and now didn't have a room for us! Which basically means they put priority over the people who made their reservation after us and kicked us out. I have stayed at this hostel in the past and was very disappointed with this service. Horrible.

Nice hostel, friendly and helpfull staff. We wanted to rent a car amd whem something went wrong the girl at reception helped us very good! She gave good information and tips about what to visit in LA and what not. The rooms are a bit small but nice amd we had a view on the ocean. The only thing was that the toilet in our room was not working the last two days. Overall we had a really nice stay. Kitchen was a bit small but th

One of the people who went to sleep late actually worked there, but he would still turn on the light every time (he came in and out several times throughout the night).

Cool location right on the beach but be warned.. The public bus takes over an hour to get from the bus depot near LAX to the hostel. Keep in mind for if you're in a hurry/don't have much time. Otherwise the hotel is a bit dilapidated but ok.

I got here straight from LAX. The location is great, right next to the beach. The hostel attracts a lot of surfer dudes, friendly and chilled-out types. I think it's more suited to solo travellers (like me) than big groups.

I felt safe at this Hostel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had bikes for rent (cheap) and the cost of our stay was very affordable! We ended up staying an extra night

If possible invest in nice ear plugs for hire...so that if people are worried about the noise they can just purchase some good noise cancelling ear plugs. Great hostel overall, keep up the customer service and friendly staff. :)

Good location in front of the beach and a lot of bar with dance floor closed to the hostel. Only problem: The drinks are so expensive on the bars, you can drink on the hostel before going out.
