Pros: Good location opposite the beach, bathrooms were cleaned regularly, cheap & good meals at restaurant. Cons: No hot showers for the duration of our stay, some staff are friendly but others look like they´d rather stick pins in their eyes than help you, kitchen is very dirty and basically non-existent, bed/mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on.

Relaxt atmosphere, good place to stay when you want some relaxing time at the beach. The hostel is just in front of the beach and they offer good surfinglessons. Breakfast is not included, but you can order cheap and delicious breakfast. There are some hammocks and a roofterrace. The kitchen is very small and poor equipped and my room didn't have lockers. But I had a good time here and would definitely recommend to stay at this hostel.

The kitchen looks like it sucks but you can actually use it okay. It gets a little dirty though and when I did a big clean it didn't take long to go back to the way it was - I'd suggest the cleaners clean the kitchen as well daily, but they don't. Location great, waves are good and you can have a good time, there's not actually that much to do here. DVD selection is good. I recommend visiting the German run vegetarian restaurant down the beach, really good quality.

Right on the beach so has a very surf-centric crowd. Great meals for a great price. Cozy beds. Cool rugged beach vibe in the common areas. One suggestion: get a shower curtain.

The hostel itself was okay and comfortable with a good location. But I couldn't wait to leave because the staff is awful and very unfriendly. They reflect very badly on the hostel and make it an unpleasant stay. Worst hostel I've stayed at.

Slightly strange hostel but generally pretty good - the guy who rents out the surfboards was lovely and helped me report a lost purse to the police (not stolen from the hostel i might add). Some.of.the staff didnt sem to want.to.be there but other than that it was quite chilled, nice place to be and right on the beach.

I definitely enjoyed my stay at the hostel. I orginally booked a room for one night, but ended up staying three weeks. The location is perfect, right along the beach and the hostel vibe is warm and inviting. I'll be back. =)

This hostel is perfect! Close to the beach, good breakfast, a nice bar, stuffed with comfortable hammocks, friendly and helpful staff (if you find someone, working for the hostel, of course), two nice cats, I'm comfortable with it.

The Female Dorm is airy & spacious unlike the mixed Dorm on my first night, which was small & very musty. Had I not been able to change rooms I would not have extended my stay. The location is great, opposite the beach and almost central to Huanchaco eateries & bars.
