This is truly a surfers hostel. Room was dark and dingy and the entire facility needed renovation. There was a good lounge area for socializing, and the breakfast was decent (although not included). I was very thankful that the showers were hot though. Overall, you get what you pay for.
Great relaxed hostel where you can hire wetsuits and surfboards. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
I very cheap and good value for money hostel. Loads of hangout space and helpful staff. Well situated just off the beach and great breakfast - though you have to pay for it. They also have a small outdoor kitchen for cooking simple meals and hot showers. recommended
Great place. Relaxed chilled people. Bfast not inc but the best in town easily. Great for surfers easy walk up the point surf your way down for about a hr and get out at the hostel door! It looks at the break and centrally located. We had a priv room and bath out the back which was fine for us, Sara speaks fluent English and happy to help. You must check out Huanchaco it is one of the best places we visited up the coast of Peru!
I really enjoyed my stay in the hostel as the personell is nice, food was good and the value for money great. The only thing which could be improved is showers which have really warm instead of almost warm water. Apart from that: thumbs up!
Nice place to stay, good atmosphere really good food. Got a board made while we were there.
I really likec this hostel!!! The staff was so friendly and very helpful with booking a bus for our further trip because all of the bus seats were nearly outbooked! Thanks a lot! And the breakfast you get there ist so delicious (it's not included but not expensive to buy it extra). I loved the homemade granola and the homemade bread -actually the best bread I've eaten on my whole trip trough peru! The shower was only lukewarm, but ok. you only have 100 m to the sea! It's georgous!
This place is what I would call a person home away from home. It invites you to allow yourself to feel comfortable and just simply relax as your ears absorb the melodious sound of the ocean and your mind reflects on its immensity. Great ideas are coming in with these waves baby! At least that is the way your mind feels.
Nice place with a big chilling area, but it's all open so we had to sit with our jackets on.. Great for surfing as well
Pros: right on the beach, fantastic food for cheap prices, decent communal living area, decent internet speed. Cons: kitchen is a bit of a joke (one hob and that's pretty much it), showers are iffy on temperature and could do with a spruce, 4 bed dorm is pretty musty smelling. Staff are for the most part very friendly though it's a bit hard to know who works there and who doesn't! And the mini skateboard half-pipe is a death trap ha.

Really relaxing place, many opportunities for chilling, the best is the terrace ob the roof! We never eat so good breakfast before: the bread and the cake is handmade!!! You have everthing you need in this place
Relaxt atmosphere, good place to stay when you want some relaxing time at the beach. The hostel is just in front of the beach and they offer good surfinglessons. Breakfast is not included, but you can order cheap and delicious breakfast. There are some hammocks and a roofterrace. The kitchen is very small and poor equipped and my room didn't have lockers. But I had a good time here and would definitely recommend to stay at this hostel.
Pros: Good location opposite the beach, bathrooms were cleaned regularly, cheap & good meals at restaurant. Cons: No hot showers for the duration of our stay, some staff are friendly but others look like they´d rather stick pins in their eyes than help you, kitchen is very dirty and basically non-existent, bed/mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on.
The kitchen looks like it sucks but you can actually use it okay. It gets a little dirty though and when I did a big clean it didn't take long to go back to the way it was - I'd suggest the cleaners clean the kitchen as well daily, but they don't. Location great, waves are good and you can have a good time, there's not actually that much to do here. DVD selection is good. I recommend visiting the German run vegetarian restaurant down the beach, really good quality.
Right on the beach so has a very surf-centric crowd. Great meals for a great price. Cozy beds. Cool rugged beach vibe in the common areas. One suggestion: get a shower curtain.
The hostel itself was okay and comfortable with a good location. But I couldn't wait to leave because the staff is awful and very unfriendly. They reflect very badly on the hostel and make it an unpleasant stay. Worst hostel I've stayed at.

Slightly strange hostel but generally pretty good - the guy who rents out the surfboards was lovely and helped me report a lost purse to the police (not stolen from the hostel i might add). Some.of.the staff didnt sem to want.to.be there but other than that it was quite chilled, nice place to be and right on the beach.
nice place, staff were helpful and surfing was fun. showers didn't work very well and it was difficult to get a free one often

I definitely enjoyed my stay at the hostel. I orginally booked a room for one night, but ended up staying three weeks. The location is perfect, right along the beach and the hostel vibe is warm and inviting. I'll be back. =)
This hostel is perfect! Close to the beach, good breakfast, a nice bar, stuffed with comfortable hammocks, friendly and helpful staff (if you find someone, working for the hostel, of course), two nice cats, I'm comfortable with it.
