The bedroom window was taped together unable for us the open further to air the room. The bathroom had signs up saying no water after 5am but we had to leave at 7 unable to use the facilities properly. The mattress was old, pillows flat with no stuffing and the bedding looked dirty. The curtain didn't hang right, it could all just be so much better.

Awesome! The location is the best of Auckland, moreover a new countdown was just opening! The staff were so friendly, they helped me to organize all my trip in NZ... They were calling for me to book an other hostels and reserve all my bus.. I was in 2 others backpackers the night before and the kitchen was closed at 22pm.. Here you can cooking all the night! Definitely awesome!!

I stayed in a twin room with my brother and the room had no windows and smelt really bad. It got extremely hot during the night as there was no way of cooling the room down or airing it out. The showers were good though with good water pressure and pretty clean.

The hostel had a good location but wasn't great. There were security codes everywhere, except the bathrooms and a homeless person came in and used the shower. The rooms were dirty and had no ventilation, and my bed wasn't ready when I arrived at 6pm. There was one very friendly staff member, and another who looked at us blankly every time we spoke to him. It was fine for a place to sleep but I wouldn't recommend it if you are going to be spending much time there.

Awesome location and has all you need. Highly recommended if you are not into staying in a huge hostel like nomads and base.

The kitchen was pretty filthy, flies everywhere so not the nicest place to eat your meals. Otherwise the hostel was okay, not the best but could have been worse.

The double bedrooms were tiny with very poor beds. The single pillow was so dated and used it was pointless being there. The kitchen was very small and dirty with fridges in a disgusting state.

I kept hearing a noise from the corridor at night. At first I thought there was some work outside but it turns out that the noise comes from inside the building.

The curtains in the rooms need to be thicker, or another layer as the street lights shone through very easily. I used the second floor bathroom, there needs to be a dresser/buffet or similar against the window... because the doors open the wrong way to each other in the showers and leave no space to manevour. There needs to be a second hook on the walls of each dry space in the shower

This was one of the only hostels that didn't triple it's rates during rugby world cup final weekend - big bonus points for that! The room I was in was spacious and light, and the location is convenient for town - all good, would stay here again!

One of the worst hostels ive stayed in. No the cleaniest, no soap or hand dryers working in the bathroom.

Location was excellent, but that was about it. The rooms small and messy, the bed hard and uncomfortable, the tv room smelly and had people sleeping in there.
