I had limited time to travel in NZ and the staff there helped me a lot. They gave me advice and helped me make bookings for my blackwater rafting, maori show, accommodation and bus. The travel desk was amazing. I had short and good time in NZ. The location is easy to get Air Bus to airport and Intercity bus. If I have chance to go to NZ again, will go stay with them again!!

Terrible hostel. Really dirty, plug sockets hanging off the wall. Staff were rude and unfriendly. I had booked for 2 nights but left after just one, I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

The bedroom window was taped together unable for us the open further to air the room. The bathroom had signs up saying no water after 5am but we had to leave at 7 unable to use the facilities properly. The mattress was old, pillows flat with no stuffing and the bedding looked dirty. The curtain didn't hang right, it could all just be so much better.

They were calling for me to book an other hostels and reserve all my bus.. I was in 2 others backpackers the night before and the kitchen was closed at 22pm.. Here you can cooking all the night! Definitely awesome!!

Old, dirty and not really charming... rather recommend to take a hostel a bit outside Queen St. and the City Centre.

I stayed in a twin room with my brother and the room had no windows and smelt really bad. It got extremely hot during the night as there was no way of cooling the room down or airing it out. The showers were good though with good water pressure and pretty clean.

The hostel had a good location but wasn't great. There were security codes everywhere, except the bathrooms and a homeless person came in and used the shower. The rooms were dirty and had no ventilation, and my bed wasn't ready when I arrived at 6pm. There was one very friendly staff member, and another who looked at us blankly every time we spoke to him. It was fine for a place to sleep but I wouldn't recommend it if you are going to be spending much time there.
