Staff are so cool and welcoming unlike other hostels and the owner who is British is really helpful and friendly she refunded my deposit back onto my credit card as she knew I was leaving the country so didn't need cash where bigger hostels would not do that. We went out to early at times like 10pm which meant i couldn't socialise enough at the common room cool place though.

Rooms were big, party hostel.

The hostel needs to consider installing air conditioning in each room. Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise are known for hotter and humid weather, the ceiling fan does nothing inside the room. Also there are 6 beds in my room but only 4 power outlets. We had to share the power outlets to charge our phones/cameras. That was very annoying. Also the front desk staffs are rarely in office during business hours, it was impossible to ask for help when needed.

Owner Comment (Hide)
This has been an exceptionally hot summer. It would increase price of beds too much to have air conditioning for the couple of months a year that we (S.E QLD) may have extreme heat. Up in the tropics you will certainly find hostels with AC. There are an extra 2 power outlets in the en-suite if everyone in the room happens to need power desperately at the same time. Sharing sometimes is ok though? Reception is ALWAYS manned daily from 7.30am to 7pm. the staff are then in the bar area until 10pm

Good social hostel, could happily of stayed longer.

clean friendly hostel with a nice pool to cool off in, and a great volley ball court to play on and meet others at the hostel, staff were very helpful too!

One of the best places I've stayed in! Tennis and volleyball court, and plenty other activities which everyone gets involved in which is perfect to get to know people. Staff very friendly, helpful and sociable. Short walk from the beach. Would recommend!

Wifi was poor most days, good atmosphere, location is out of town but close to beach

Good hostel for socialising as they organised lots of activities, not dirty but not that clean either. No lockers which was annoying as everyones stuff was everywhere and couldn't keep your stuff safe.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and cool to sleep in. They have a free shuttle bus to the transit station in the centre which makes up for it being about a 20 min walk from the main things in surfers paradise. Plus there a pool and bar with a good social atmosphere

We stayed in a twin private and it was amazing! We basically had an apartment to ourselves... It was huge! Massive kitchen, sofa, cable TV, big bathroom and comfy beds! It's a little bit out of the centre of surfers but really close to the beach! The only thing I would say is the shuttle service from the bus stop is a little unreliable! But definitely stay here it's brilliant!!!

Great hostel, super close to the beach, short walk to town (or get the free hostel shuttle). Pool, tennis court and large TV room. Bar with cheap drinks and lots of benches to chill at. Bar crawls and quiz nights to join in on. Rooms were clean and quite spacious. Other people were friendly, it was a very comfortable hostel. Would recommend.

Didn't stay long enough to comment much but nice staff, good facilities and v close to a beach!

Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. They made us feel very comfortable and were very helpful when we were having problems booking trips etc. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 5 nights. No complaints. Would definately stay here again.

Great place. Loved the pool. The courtesy bus is handy, but the hostel is only a 15 min walk from town anyhow, and only 5 min from the beach. Loads of stuff to do... Tennis/volleyball/bbq/clubs to go to at night. The place was really clean too. I wish there were lockers in the rooms though.

Only negatives are that there are no lockers in the rooms and the beds could be a bit more substantial rather then a foam mattress.

Overall a good stay here. Friendly staff, great regular shuttle into the main town, short walk to the bus and really nice pool!

wifi only at reception and from 7am-10pm

The location of the hostel is very nice. Opposite to the tram station and 100 meters from the beach. The atmosphere is very good and the staff is very friendly.

Stayed for 2 nights and had an awesome time, Great location, clean and friendly and helpful staff. I lost my phone and it got handed in, brilliant.
