Even though we just stayed for one night I can say it was the best hostel I stayed in so far. Agra, the owner, is one of the lovliest persons I've ever met. She tried to find us a car to get to see the penguins at Bushy Beach. But since all the cars (of the other people who stayed there) did not have any seats left, she decided to use her own car and so we had a really nice sightseeing tour around Oamaru and got dropped off at Bushy Beach to see the Yellow-Eyed Penguins.

Swaggers is an excellent hostel. It's got a very homey feel to the place and is perfect for those that just want to wind down and have a fun time without too much noise. Right from the get go - the staff is amazing, or should I say, just the 1 staff. Unfortunately I've forgotten her name, but she is extremely cool - very relaxed, and very funny. She showed us around the small town and the best places to check out that we didn't know and saved us a lot of $$$. PS: The beds are SOOOO comfy.
