Swellendam Backpackers, established in 1995, is within easy walking distance of the local shops, banks and a variety of Swellendam Restaurants. The hostel offers homemade traditional dinners in the main house, booking is essential.
Situated in a ambient part of the village,on a large property with its own gurgling mountain stream and close to the Marloth Nature Reserve. It is a lovely and safe choice to relax and recharge. Swellendam is centrally located to all of the adventure activities of the Overberg.

The location is gorgeous. The kitchen is clean and well-equipped. There are lots of nearby activities. They have a fire pit and a nice porch, so you can sit out in the evening and look at the stars. My only complaint is that they lock the main house at 10 pm, including the kitchen.
