It was very pricey for what was offered. Nothing bad, but nothing great.

Friendly service, rooms or less clean but a little rustic it can be a hostel, but I think there is a little more respect for others, especially when it's a dormitory. the room's too expensive for what it is. I paid 130 U.S. dollars for one night in a dormitory. And it cost more the next day. I booked a few days before and I did not want too be in Brooklyn since I was alone. I am currently in a Toronto hostel, very clean, with a good atmosphere, good service and I only pay 30 Canadian dollars. I

Good location. You can hang out at 5th floor balcony. Bit hot at the day time.

The lack of 24 hour staff and being at a separate location from the reception made me feel insecure in the event of any need for assistance. Your hostel lacked the welcoming, secure feeling I usually experience in a hostel. The price for a shared room with 6 others was outrageous. And...not a bread crumb to be had!!! Will never stay here again!!!

Got treated like scum the first night by a douchebag, who charged me 40 $ (on top of the already ridiculous price) for arriving 15 minutes past midnight, something I hadn't been warned would be a problem. However, the female employees I met later brings the staff rating up to "average", as they were very helpful and friendly, even though I didn't stay at the "hostel" anymore - that's another thing, it's not really a hostel, I stayed in an apartment an avenue away from the office.

We were travelling around the world and thought that not much could shock us. The room was very small and shabby. The first night we discovered a MOUSE in our room! We went to the reception but the STAFF DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! They told us that it's good that we told them and that tomorrow someone would come, unfortunately they couldn't even find a mousetrap, so they didn't do anything to get rid off the mouse!!! The next night the mouse was still there... we slept very badly as you can imaging!!

Great location. I haven't seen the other rooms, but the room I stayed in (3C) was great! Staff was really friendly, room was super-clean... it was a bit pricey though. Will Definitely stay there again next time I'm in NYC!!

Nice hostel, which I can recommend to any other backpacker. Rooms are very tidy and there are nice people around. Even if the value for money might be better in other hostels in New York City, my three days were a pleasure!

The roms are not getting cleaned i guess. it would have been better if its get cleaned regularly. compared to the hostels I stayed at in europe the money im paying is much higher in the US but the quality lags behind a bit compared to the Euoro counterpart. Otherwise Jimmy and the rest are very kind and helpful. A bit of get together or some bbq atnight would help make the place a little lively.
