Great welcome, great staff, they adjusted to my early wake-up for the airport and they gave me good advice for visits around the area. I appreciated their kindness and sense of help and service.

Hi there, thanks that you stayed about two weeks in our hostel! Don’t forget that you paid with credit card (Visa available) and we also accept USD and EUR but we are in Colombia so there is a little extra charge for this service. Sorry with these cheap prices we cannot do it without extra charge (7 %).

NOISE and VIBRATION. One of the worst stays ever, and ive backpacked 60 countires. IF you end up here, try a very disheartening game and check which services they advertise which have never been available,.. including,.. being billed a s a quiet place to rest! BS.

We do not accept paid girls during the night in our hostel, sorry.

This is one of the worst hostels I have ever stayed at. The floor of my room was so dirty, I didn't even want to walk barefoot on it. My room was constantly filled with the smell of cigarette smoke, as people smoked in the kitchen nextdoor despite the fact it was a non smoking area. The was a beautiful toddler there who I think was the owners daughter, however she made a lot of noise crying into the night and early morning. Avoid rooms near the kitchen, as the noise continues til 5am!

Ok, we closed this room for renovation reasons… also smoking during the daytime is from now on not more allowed. During the night we allow it for security reasons. Martinik welcomes al clients independent of the country and age. We like this mix of culture, hear the histories and learn from other experiences. The nice little girl was with her mother a couples of days here and at the same time also a big group from Herba Life who get trained very early. If you don’t like this amazing cultural mix, than yes, maybe the Martinik shouldn’t be your choice.

The staff were cool and the location in the candelaria was great. The shower facilities for dorms weren't brilliant, and the only lockers were in reception, but other than those minor things the hostel was an excellent place to stay.

Excellent Breakfast!!!! The Staff in the hostel was really nice and helpful. Rooms were very clean. It would be great if the showers in the 2. floor are the same like in the 1. floor (2. floor showers are not really hot and the perssure was too little). The common room was quiet cold. Cause there is no daylight in the rooms and in the hostel, we didn't feel very comfy and we wouldn't go there again but that's our oppinion.

Thanks for your comment. We have electric showers in the second floor but I was weeks searching the best ones that I could find. So there are now also very warm and comfortable. For the pleasure I put two big water tanks on the roof. Maybe there was something wrong on this day. All Rooms has a windows, we have two patios where the sun can come in. The only rooms without window are the three budget ones. So I cannot understand your entry at all….

All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The hostel is fun and really comfortable and clean, with great breakfast and free tea and coffee all day - and a great kitchen. Loved Bogota, and would definitely stay here again!

Nice place, but very basic. In the centre and close to museums and Plaza Bolivar. Helpful staff.

place was good, had everything you could want. beds were comfy and room clean. a bit noisy at the front of the hostel but o well thats no ones fault. could still sleep. one thing that the hostel can change is their rule of allowing people to smoke in the kitchen?! there is no window even so makes it even worse, send the remaining people in this world who smoke outside! not in the f$#kin& kitchen where people want to prepare their food. other than that it was ok!! thanks

Hi there, yes we changed the role of smoking. During the daytime it is not allowed to smoke insight the hostel. In the night we have to allow it for security reasons.

The worst bed I have seen in my life. And a pillow as well. I love hard mantrasses and pillows, but these ones was not just hard, it was like stone. My neck was killing me each morning. Usually it does not.

Hi there, I cannot understand that you sleep 5 nights in a mattress you dislike. We are 24 hours here and you can speak with us in German, English and Spanish. We have 10 privates more and we can offer you other options. So the mattress you sleep in is a brand new one and I really this one but we have for every taste the right one, if you ask for it :-)

The staff was really great at helping me to navigate around the city. The locks on the private bedroom doors do not really lock! The door can be pushed open. Also, the doors have an open space on top that allows light from the hallway, smoke and sound seep through. It might not be a good idea to get a private room here.

Hi. Thanks for your comment. I fixed the door lock. Thanks informing us about this issue. But I have to inform you that we have two types of private rooms. The Budget ones are cheap and very simple. The Standard rooms are bigger, more comfortable and in the quite part of the hostel, so it is important to know… you get what pay for :-)
