The dorms and provided linens were clean. The toilets were average-sometimes out of toilet paper and the floors were often very wet. The showers were clean. The kitchen was kind of gross-wasn't cleaned (ie garbage changed etc often enough); only one of the two stoves worked. Best aspects were it's closeness to the City Hall train station

Rooms are equipped with a fridge - tv and lockable lockers - ensure you bring a pad lock. Beware - some rooms like the twin bunk private rooms don't have a window. Good Roof top BBQ and smoking area.

I dont know of a good backpacker in Sydney but this certainly isnt the place. Poor atmosphere, only one kitchen with not enough cutlery and broken boiler, small common room.

Great Location, the rooms are clean the building is clean and the toilets too, a good backpacker to choose in Sydney, just they need best security I think.

Staff downstairs should be more welcoming to new guests. That makes a huge difference. But overall it was a good hostel.

The main reason to stay in this hostel is the price. I am yet to find a hostel with similar rates in the Sydney CBD. However, the atmosphere in the hostel is kind of a bummer, since they have no organized activities whatsoever within the premises and you have a lot of older people who have been living there for ages. It is not really a clean place (there often seems to be an odd smell in the air) and the kitchen is outrageously small (it is a normal sized apartment kitchen for an entire hostel).

The living room is nice and cozy and there is a big TV screen! The rooms are quiet and people are easy going! Enough showers and toilets. Nevertheless, the kitchen is too small for the amount of people staying in this hostel.
