Friendly and clean hostel. I'd recommend for travellers who want to stay out of the city centre by the beach and especially anyone looking for work as there's heaps of jobs around the area.

I had a lovely stay in Collaroy at the Sydney Beachouse - the staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel is in an excellent location right by the beach. Access to swimming, surfing, coastal walks and bike rides is super easy from the hostel. I'd happily stay there again.

We had a great stay! Very close to the beach, shops, restraunts and supplies of all kinds. The staff is great, cordial, friendly and helpfull. Surf boards, and body boards are available too! Thanks again to all at the Beachouse!

It was pretty clean. Staff was nice. Dorms are kinda cramped though and rooms where uncomfortably hot which made it hard to sleep. Overall good place to stay if you don't mind being REALLY FAR from the city. There is nothing around there to do. Its like a 20 minute bus ride to Manly and 45 mins to an hour bus ride to the city. People staying there didn't seem to eager to meet others. Everyone stayed to themselves. Don't stay here if you wanna party. Beach near by was not enjoyable...kinda gross

This Hostel is about 45 minutes from Sydney by the L90 bus, but the beach is right across the street! Free Surf board rentals and daily activities. The daily activities were expensive ($30+) compared to other places i have stayed (free-$20). The front desk shut down at 8pm which was unusual for a hostel. Almost all hostels I have had 24 hour reception except here.

Great location for a relaxing time by the beach - 50 mins by bus from CBD so not for someone who wants to be in centre of Sydney. Had a lovely relaxing time here over Xmas. Beautiful beach across the road. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Ok kitchen & good sized dining area. Very clean.Dorms a little small but not a major prob. Good sized lockers in dorms plenty big for rucksack & more. I'm not really into organised activities but plenty of stuff for those who are. Nice atmosphere

Not great: It takes 45 minutes to get to the city center. The common areas are not kept clean - I saw a sandwich that had been out for the entire time I was there. Bathrooms are not disgusting but you want to spend as little time in them as possible. Also paying for wifi seems to be the norm in Aus hostels, diff from Europe. Good: The beach is across the street, there\'s a great bakery next door, the staff are friendly, and it\'s a really easy environment to meet people in.
