Better than many hostels in kings cross, 26 $ per night including free wifi and free breakfast. Worth the money!

I had a great stay here! reception is open 24/7 and breakfast is included which are both HUGE for me. The staff is friendly and engaging. hostel is located right in the action of Kings Cross. always a few cleaners going around making sure the bathrooms and rooms aren't going to hell. there is a rooftop area for people to hangout and bbq. the only issue I had was the size of the kitchen. during prime dinner time it gets cramped. not my first hostel in Sydney, but so far my favorite!

Sydney Central is the best. Stayed there 3 weeks. They got free events every night and the staff is so kind and helpful!

This hostel was not a youth hostel as expected. The showers were consistently dirty with mould in the ceiling tile and touchy water temperatures. The stairwells are very narrow, thus navigating up to a different floor proved difficult with more than one bag. The staff were fair, though a bit rude at times.

Hello A. We are sorry your stay was uncomfortable and unsatisfactory. The weekend you stayed with us was one of the busiest we have had this year. Availability of rooms is sometimes unfortunate. We do apologize if this caused you inconvenience. We appreciate your review and we are taking it on board. We would be happy to offer you a free nights stay in the future. Kind regards Danny, Yvonne and Stella

I only stayed one night, so mine is a snapshot view of the hostel, but it didnt seem very friendky fir single travellers. Lots of cockroaches and very loud at night if you have a roadside room. The roof area is nice and beds were good. Free wifi offered which is good but is very slow if too many people use it, free breakfast is very helpful! Close location to Kings cross station and the nightlife.

I planned to stay at Sydney Central Backpackers for one night only but extended my stay for almost two month. Its due to the other people, most of the long termer, the staff and generally the great vibe of the place. My favorite place was the rooftop where I hung out daily - sun bathing, BBQing or hanging out. In the evening we all went out to different bars & clubs, most of the time got in for free due to a guy from the hostel who organised it all. The place has become my OZ family

I had an awesome time at Sydney Central Backpackers! It was so easy to get to know other travelers so that I decided to stay longer. The staff is very nice - always open for a small chat. Generally very helpful and kind. Location is excellent since everything you need is around the corner. Best tourist attractions are only a few minute walk away: Royal Botanic Garden and the Opera House. Close to the station and the supermarket as well as tons of bars and clubs. Would have loved to stay longer

Atmosphere is very bad. Not a good hostel.
