Brilliant facilities and spacious rooms. Showers clean. Social area really big and great comfortable atmosphere. Pool and cinema are a bonus.

7th floor bathroom needs complete overhaul. Toilets rarely flush, sinks have poor water pressure and it is generally quite revolting. One kitchen was closed for about a week. Too many girls with suitcases who packed and zipped long and loud and late at night, who switched the light on early in the morning to pack all over again...and then didn't even move out. Bizarre and annoying and worst in this YHA. This is my 10th hostel of my current trip and I would not recommend it at all.

I left a note about the fact that there is no map in the room showing fire escape route - I believe this is mandatory. Bins in lobbies above ground floor were not emptied regularly; they were dirty and because they had been replaced incorrectly there was no sorting for recycling. Vacuum cleaning of halls started very early in the morning. First time I've ever been in a hotel where no soap was available.

Overall its the best hostel i have been. It will be good to have a check-out keys drop box, wait in the queue to have keys drop off doesnt make good sense.

The hostel was located in the center of the city and within a 5 minute walk from the greyhound station. The 4 bed dorm was clean, spacious & had large locker storage with night lights being provided above each bed. The hostel had the usual YHA feel with a large communal area & kitchen space provided. Showers were very clean and enough available for all guests. More staff maybe needed during check-in hours. Laundry available although the WI-FI connection was generally quite poor.

YHA is a nice hostel with a good atmosphere. It could do with a bit of an update of the facilities. Enjoyed my stay here apart from noise in the middle of the night. This hostel is perfect if you are in Sydney for a clubbing weekend but as we were traveling early in the morning it was a bit annoying.

Due to the large number of people using the facilities, the shower areas need to be mopped more than once a day

Very easy to get to from rail and airport, specially arriving late evening.. Clean and easy to use kitchen. Tea towels were mostly wet. Good place to stay. How do we educate young Asian women that it is considerate to use lighting other than bright overhead when coming in midnigth? !!!!!

I had a double room on the 3rd floor - the only electrical outlet was in the bathroom - this was very inconvenient as I needed to get work done, recharge batteries etc. When I asked staff if there was an extension cord, they said no.
