Did not like the way mugs were stored in the kitchen. Top down on a cloth. A good breeding ground for bacteria. Also, I suffer from vertigo and the arrangement of mirrors in the elevator made me feel very dizzy Most backpackers these days provide free wi-fi, but at least your charges are much less than some Scottish hostels I have stayed in. Apart from those few niggles I found the hostel very good.

I stayed at the both hostel, YHA & 790. Cleaness: YHA, Kitchen: 790, Space: YHA is more spacious, 790's building is pretty old. Bathroom: YHA, 790 is not too bad, just need more cleaning, Staffs: 790 really friendly and helpful, always smile. YHA's staffs.. One of the female staff mistook with caclurating the payment. But no apologize. And YHA, I couldn't handle the AC, pretty cold. If you have small budget, recommend 790. Clean and spacious kitchen? YHA...

Yes, this hostel is large, but it's clean and has everything you'll need. You'll share a room with several people, so if noise or light bothers you, bring earplugs and an eye mask. And I didn't think $8 for 24 hours of wifi was that bad (I've paid more)! I found the front desk staff very helpful as well.

Good central location, right next to train station. Very big hostel (eight floors of rooms), but well run, as with all YHA hostels.

Great facilities. Great location right opposite the train station. It is a bit of a factory though, massive place. No real character but a good place for Sydney.

Decent. Our room was pretty dirty, with dust clumps on the floor and old looking bathroom. Great location. Staff were ok. Wifi is not great. There is an internet cafe next door though, and an attached cafe that has an ok breakfast. The Wake Up Sydney hostel down the street was much nicer.

I would 100% recommend this hostel to anyone!! It is so clean, has a pool and sauna on the roof and two large kitchens. The staff are really friendly and happy to help in any way they can. They don't try and sell you things, they help you and share there knowledge about Sydney with you.

I thought the people at the Reception were rude and didn't want to help!

The staff was very friendly at check in:(I got a free room upgrade) and every time I had a question. The fifth floor bathrooms and showers were spotless and my room was clean. I have stayed at a lot of hostels in Sydney and this one was by far the nicest. My one complaint was that there was no free internet in the rooms and the luggage room which is generally free, cost money.

It is not often you come across a hostel that just 'gets it'. This is a fantastic place buzzing with international travellers things to do and ways to meet other people. They have something for everyone and I felt welcomed and well looked after. I stayed 3 times during my Sydney stay and each time the rooms were clean, secure and you can't beat a suana and swim after a day sight seeing. I recommend staying here if you can.

I had stayed in other hostels before, but this one was just exceptional good. I honestly enjoyed my time, there,, even though it was only for a short period of time.

Nice hostel, only stayed one night so so I can't really comment. Wish I'd had the time to use the pool and the sauna.

It is a clean place in a good location. But you have to pay for everything, i mean really everything, extra. The facilities are standard, they dont have any character or charm. If ur looking for a nice place to stay and easy want to meet new people, stay somewhere else.

Better signage needed to help find it. Staff at the desk were a bit indifferent and unhelpful about giving clear directions to where the bus station offices were.

Excellent location in Sydney city - close to bus and rail connections and adjacent food and entertainment areas. Best accommodation option with minimal hassles in the most interesting area of Sydney.
