Loved the Atmosphere, everyone was really social and friendly there where the typical hostel hermits who hide in they're room and have a face like death but mostly people we're lovely, the staff we're helpful and the rooms we're right for the price.

It would be good if the staff were more informative (as to be able to tell you what you need to know and/or where to find it), had a proper training for the job and more serviceminded. It would also be better if they cleaned the hostel properly, not just empty the rubbish.I have never seen so many cockroaches during a single day in my entire life! All the rules and advises regardng to security at the hostel were not followed, even by he staff-why bother to put up the rules then?Shape up!!!

Very cheap place to stay in Sydney, but the cleaness is non existent here... Very poor kitchen, most of times in a mess. If you don't want to spend so much time in the hostel, try to keep the rooms upstairs - no cockroach :) I stayed 3 nights and survived well... for the price paid ant the time i spent in the hostel, it was ok!!

A very nice and small hostel, nice outside area to relax and meet new people. It's not very clean and pretty old but for the 20 bucks I paid per night it was worth it!

The room was filthy, smelt of urine&had smelly sheets on the beds. There was no AC or even a fan.Apparently there was none in the whole building.Needless to say it got hot with 8 people sleeping in 1 room.We couldn't even sleep with the windows opened as we were on the ground floor we were advised by the staff to keep them locked. When they were open when we were there&awake we had strangers jump the fencing&walk through our room to the rest of the hostel&had beggers ask for change.Horrible hostel!

I have never seen such a dirty hostel. The dormatories, the showers (oh my God), the kitchen (oh my God again). Everything is disgusting. And nobody seemed to care about it from the management. Maybe 100 people staying there and only 5 or 6 mugs for the tea/coffee. All dishes and cooking ustensils dirty. They also sold me a one day internet card but forgot to tell me I can use it only in the office - no reception otherwise. Fair enough, but the office is closed more than 13 hours a day! Shame!

Let's start by saying mum works at a homeless shelter, and I know how bad 'cheap' living can be. Well, hobo-living has NOTHING on G'day. There's cockroaches. The quarters are FILTHY. The age of the food in the fridge can only be found using carbon dating. Getting across the floor requires skill as there's usually mounds of trash (and passed out peers) strewn across the floor. They say you get what you pay for, but the hobos of the US do better, and you'd have a better night sleeping on a bench.

A long walk from any tourist sites but a short walk to the train station. Surrounded by restaurants. More of a gap-year backpacker hostel than a place to meet other world travelers.
