Fantastic family run little hostel. It is exactly in the town centre. Lubas home cooking went down a treat. The only hostel that I have stayed in that you can have a beer and watch a film without getting chased out to a restaurant. I would highley recommend it.

TIU Backpackers could've been a great experience for me. But unfortunately it wasn't. The location was perfect, and the hostel was actually quite nice. But the staff just ruined my experience in Chernivtsi. I don't think it was the regular staff, and only a temporary replacement. But still, UNABLE to help me with taxis, public transportation, trains, etc. It was a nightmare. I do not recommend TIU Backpackers, unless you have no other choice

Not bad, but as with most hostels in ukraine it is very difficult to actually find since there are no signs. The regular owner was out of town, so his son was taking over for a while, and he wasn't really much help. Unable to answer Manu questions, or speak the language well enough to order a taxi. The place wasn't filthy, but it wasn't all that clean either. This is really the only option in town though, and it could be a lot worse.

hostelling at it's best more like staying at your favourite aunty and uncles than anything else with the hosts attitude of an old general store if they can't help you with it you don't need it

these guys are magic..i haven't seen something like this before (and i've been traveling "some miles" in this world) kindest regards to markus and luba for the great place they owe...but the special thanks goes to the special man that handled the situation there: Daren...he was fantastic, every hostel in the world should have a daren of their own :)
