It's a quite small hostel, and has an atmosphere like a home. If you like to communicate with others, you'll like here!! Like: Location (just 2min from metro), Stuffs (Very nice character. the owner likes drinking), Activities (Shared dinner, Bar tour) So so: Facilities (only 1 toilet and 1 shower room for 13 beds, but it's not a big problem.)

Stayed here multiple times and often for long stretches. Most fun you'll have. Awesome staff and run by a crazy German who makes sure you WILL forget your time in Kiev. ;-) Safe, clean, excellent location next to a major metro station, with a bar downstairs and an entrance to the underground Metrograd shopping mall ten steps away. (You can go the whole way underground to the supermarket two or three blocks away--which you really appreciate in winter!)

This is a great hostel because it is so close to the metro and Kiev's main street. Also nice sleeping bunks and common spaces.

"I am the hostel man - I will get you drunk," said the owner, as I entered this fabulous hostel for the first time. It was a concise, yet chillingly accurate premonition of the hours ahead of me. The hostel is perfectly placed right in the heart of the city, just moments by foot from all the best bars restaurants and sights the city has to offer, and the staff there know them all. For a great time and a great insight into this fascinating city, look no further for your accomodation :-)

Best hostel in the world!!

Best way to have a monty pythonesque stay in Kiev. Every bit of it loveable, from the owners to the guests ! Thoroughly recommended !

Awesome stay. Excellent location, wonderful staff and free Vodka!!! Definitely a place to stay. Highly recommended. p.s Trust me, I am not a novice. I just dont usually write reviews.

Wonderful hostel! Super clean, next, and friendly. Great location. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this as one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at.

I think that this hostel does everything right. They maintain a nice clean hostel with 24/hour reception. It is in a ideal city centre location with a 24 hour bar downstairs. Also mcdonalds on the corner. Metro station very close and taxi,s nearby. The hostel is run by two lovely young Ladies who helped me with good advice. The guy who owns the hostel is also great he likes to take his guests out in the evenings to his favorite bar. He does not like any of his guests to feel lonely.

That was my 3rd visit to KievBackpackers, because of my job I need to visit Kiev more often now) I can't find cheaper place here to sleep, so thats the best price on the market. Also it was really fun, secure and clean as well)

Brilliant hostel and great craic!!

Excellent hostel, couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was very helpful/ friendly. Thanks for the great times and showing me "hospital room #6" crazy times... once again thanks. I'll see you guys in a few years if not for Euro 2012. :)

One of the best hostels I've been to! The staff are very friendly and really engage on getting to know you and helping you. The hostel is extremely clean and well secure. The lounge area is perfect. Hostel silent and good to rest and sleep. The location is perfect, near`city center and metro and walk to arena and the main street of Kiev. I would stay there every time when I'm in Kiev! thansk
