Friendly, laid back hostel. Easy to get the bus to and from town, and Ralph is really helpful with recommendations for activities. Only downside was the lack of laundry facilities - even the sink in the bathroom was tiny and had no plug. Other than that everything was clean and well maintained. There are free baguettes for breakfast every day, although if you want anything to go with it you must provide that yourself. There is a grocery store and a BBQ van five minutes walk away.

Nice hostel, right on the lagoon. Not a big beach, although there is a nice beach maybe a 10 minute walk or kayak from the hostel. A few mosquitos around so bring repellent for the nights. Nice to have free kayak use. Really nice garden to relax. Free water from a cooler which is great, and they bring baguettes every morning for breakfast. Close to a shop (100m) which has most food things. They charged me around $15US for a one-way airport pickup.

Amazing oceanfront location. I had a great stay. My favorite part was the kayak on the ocean. Thank you!

Loved my stay at Taaroa Lodge. Awesome location right on the beach, although 20km from Papeete centre so you have to rely on buses to get there (no timetable or designated stops, you just stand and wait by the road and flag them down). Ralph is lovely and really helpful. It was a little quiet as there were only 4 or 5 guests staying when I was there, but I appreciated this after a couple of heavy weeks previously. The snorkelling in the lagoon is amazing! A great place if you want to relax :-)
