TaiTung Jilin Young Hostel (TTJIYH) is on a hillside in the suburb of Taitung City, with views of mountains and the Pacific Ocean. When the weather is good, you can even see the Green Island (a.k.a. Lyudao, a fabulous spot for snorkeling and seaside hot spring bathing), just from our rooms.
Jilin Hostel is a perfect choice for backpackers and self-service travellers. It features simplicity and provides cozy and clean rooms at economical prices. Friendly, harmless pets are also welcome.

* Wireless broadband Internet access is FREE.
* Air conditioning is provided in all rooms.
(Free to use the air con when it's over 28 degree)
* Bicycles for hiring are available.
* It's only about 5 minutes to downtown (via Chunghuwa Bridge).
* It's only about 5 minutes to Taitung Train Station (via Taitung Bridge).
* It's only about 5 minutes to Fugang harbour where you can take a ship to Lyudau (Green Island) and Lanyu (Orchid Island).
* It's only about 5 minutes to Hsiaoyehliu.
* It's only about 10 minutes to Shanyuan Swimming Beach.
* It's only about 2 minutes to Liji Bad Land / Mt.Puyuma. (by car or scooter)
* There are two lovely dogs in the first floor of the hostel. These girls are very nice. If you love dogs you can enjoy playing with them.
* Free to use the air con if the temperature is more then 28 degree. We don't turn it on if it's under 28 degree which is our saving energy green earth policy.
* For those who don't use the air con when it's over 28 degree, he/she could get a saving energy fee of NT$50 discount back.

Latest Review
The hostel is smelly as dogs are put inside the hostel. It only allow you check in after 5 pm, which is not mentioned in homepage introduction of this hostel, I only knew it , after I sent the hostel email about my stay. It was frustrating that i should wait 30 min,just to put my luggage. Need a lot cleanliness everywhere. The regulation of using Air Con is ridiculous, only if temperature more 28 degree, then you can use the Air Con, whilst the rate is the highest I ever payed with bad services
