the toilet had no hot water. when its winter, this was terrible! and there's no staff on hand to fix this or to ask about this. in fact, most of the time, i couldnt find a staff in the pad at all. the only time i had interaction with a staff was when i had to call him in advance to arrange the check in. that being said, the privacy and seemingly none existence of anyone was pretty good.

The hostel is located near to Shida Night Market and the Taiwanese Metro station which makes it very convenient to find food and move about. However, the location of my private ensuite is not so ideal as it is located right next to a parking lot, so every morning at about 7am++, you'll automatically be awakened by the rumbling noise of scooters starting their engines. Not good if you want to sleep late. The room was not thoroughly cleaned when I checked in, can find dust on floor and bedsheet.

Good budget hotel for travels, clean and cozy. Comes with lots of goodies like wifi, shampoo and towels. Near to station, but a little hidden and difficult to find.

The Twin private room with bathroom ensuite had a very lovely interior perfectly suited for even a longer stay. the staff was very nice, letting us put the luggage in the room even before the room room was ready to check in. The hostel location is within a 5 minute walk from the taipower building MRT, making it a very good location to explore Taipei :)

Taipei Green Hostel is a nice Hostel at a nice location. But if you're looking for a quit hostel this would not be my first choice. The owner of the hostel and his friends/colleagues are there from around 12:00 till around 21:00-22:00, so they're basically using the public area all day. And the rooms are not really soundproof, so it will be very easy to hear them, and every time you walk out they will all just look at you. It's a nice hostel, but it would be much better without these issues.
