The staff allowed us to keep the luggage in the lounge despite us already checked out. The staff is also friendly and helpful
This is one of our favorite hostels after 5 months of travel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but give you your space and privacy. It was quiet enough to get a good night sleep and close to the subway stop. There's lots of restaurants and shopping close by. It's also close to a river walking/running trail. The only thing we wish it had is a larger kitchen - but it's more than most of our places in Taiwan had.
The location was lovely & really easily accessible. The hostel itself was cosy, clean & good facilities; breakfast, ttea, coffee, PC, washer, dryer, some toiletries. Staff were friendly & helpful. Only thing is there seemed to be a bit of a lack of consideration from the staff & guests about the fact people were paying to sleep here. All for meeting people etc but people (staff) were still talking loudly well past 1-2am in the common areas just outside the rooms. Beds were also very hard!
A place is very clean, convenient to MRT, and the staffs are excellent. Only you need to make the appointment with the house owner for opening the door for you, and 2nd floor w/O elevator.
You can compare this place with a small dorm for students. It really feels like a home. The people who work there speak English very well and always willing to help, there's a lot of information about trips and you always meet other guests. It's cheap and very close to the MRT so you can easily travel trough Taipei. We would recommend this place to others!
We had an excellent time staying at the Taipei Walker Guest House; the place was kept clean, the ambiance was nice, and the staff wasn't just very friendly: they also helped show us around. The Guest House is located near Zhishan metro Station, which made getting around the city quite convenient (Taipei's metro system is quite inexpensive).

Pity we didn't get to interact more with the hostel staff. The other guests mostly kept to themselves as well. Hence, the atmosphere was somewhat lacking. Otherwise, the staff were helpful, even in assisting to carry our heavy luggage up and down the stairs. Overall, a nice place to stay in!
