Cool place in a perfect location. Don't Let all the craziness happening in taksim square prevent you from staying in this hostel.

Stayed in this hostel during a tense period in istanbul. Felt bery safe inside the hostel despite the events taking place. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Awesome location! Close to everything! Very clean and ran professionally.

Istanbul is such a great city and Taksim Lounge is the best to stay! I met lots of people in the big terasse (which is really relaxing and cool when it's sunny). Bedrooms are clean and the owner is really helpfull and nice! The hostel has also a really good location.

I stayed at Taksim Lounge for 5 days. Unfortunately, the protests in Istanbul started the next day of my arrival. Because of this, the furnicular, bus and taxi connections to Taksim were cut off. What people should know is that Taksim square is at a high altitude. the whole city of Istanbul is very up and down and if you have to walk from the coast tram stop of Kabatas to Taksim, thats very tiring and not at all for older people. The room was very small and there was mold growing on some walls.

I would like to thank the staff for helping us in whatever we needed, including finding our way to the bus in the middle of an unexpected protest

Staffs are all nice, friendly, responsive and smart knowing exactly what answers you need to hear. Even those without English, their body language suggests grasping your questions and able to give right answers. From outside, the building is not physically attractive but the interiors and fittings are properly selected and installed. Location is very closed to the famous Istiklal shopping street, Taksim Square and surrounded by eateries and mini markets that satisfy my needs.

I stayed 3 nights in early May and very much enjoyed my stay. The location is phenomenal, it was extremely easy to find from Taksim Square and was close to all the action. The accommodations were very clean, and a great value for the price. There is reliable WIFI, free breakfast, and a wonderful rooftop terrace where I was able to take a great nap. I definitely recommend staying here!

I love the location! It is very clean and there is a good breakfast service for free. I have been staying here for a while and it really does feel like my home away from home in Istanbul. I will be coming back in the future for sure! The hostel staff are especially helpful.

Great hostel in a great location, though I imagine the WC facilities could get quite crowded if the place is full. Comfortable and clean. Very close to Taksim and Istiklal, but far enough away that it's not too noisy. Some staff were great, others messed up reservations and complained about giving change. I had a good stay, though. I recommend it!

Great place to stay, quiet at night yet near all the nightlife and shopping. Couple of metres off the Main Street, istiklal and close to metro/funicular. Couple of stops away from Sultanahmet square. Supermarket nearby and a great restaurant with Manti (Turkish dumplings) and Turkish pizza. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful, decent breakfast and free tea/coffee with good kitchen. Would come again!

What stood out for this place was the really amazing service. When I arrived I asked for a map and some local tips. The guy who owned the place sat me down in the kitchen and went through absolutely everything then when I asked where we could get a good value not too touristy meal near by he actually walked us out of the hostel and down the road to show us where it was also giving us other advice about bars and lunch places! One down side was that the rooms have no keys and our door didn't close

I loved the location and really enjoyed myself. My only "complaint" would be that there was a great deal of noise from other guests (upstairs from my room, 102, I think) from midnight to about 5 a.m. I don't like causing a fuss, so I didn't get up and complain at the time. But the staff may wish to be a bit more aware of how much noisy conversation can travel in the building. :-)

Payed two nights accommodation plus depositum for 1 nights stay, approx. $213, even though i payed cancellation fee The pictures on the website are NOT AT ALL what you get. On the pictures the rooms look big, our room was 2 square meters, and somehow they pressed 3 bedsin there. 3 persons couldnt stand up in the room at the same time. The bathroom was small and everybody in the buliding used it not only the people on the same floor. Breakfast was ridiculously bad. They are amateurs
