I loved this hostel! The friendly, close-knit, family style atmosphere really made it for me. The bathrooms were very dirty but the common areas where everyone could hang out and become friends made up for that.

It's a good place to stay few days and meet some interesting people from around the world. Sympathic owner. Sometimes party is in the air.;-) Just some tings to repair in the rooms like light switch and toilet flush.

I really enjoyed staying at the Tamarindo Backpacker. I only planned on staying one night and then moving to a place closer to the beach, but the location turned out to be just a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. I ended up spending four nights there. The price was right and the common area was a great place to swim, relax and be sociable with other travelers. The staff was definitely a highlight as well. They were very knowledgable, extremely responsive and kind.

Extremely nice staff. Not exactly in the center, but everything else was great.

I've stay at many hostels in my travels and by far Tamarindo Backpackers has been the best hostel I have stay at. The location is great, close to where everything is, but hidden from all the tourist so you can enjoy so quiet if need be. The Staff is awesome, friendly, informative and super helpful. Jesse is AWESOME! plus it is very well kept and clean. I am already planning my next visit! you wont go wrong with Tamarindo Backpackers
