Apart from being a little difficult to find the first time it was an excellent place to stay. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Everything is clean and comfotable. I enjoyed my stay.

As two older women traveling alone, the main things we look for in lodging is safety, cleanliness and reasonable price. It exceeded all three plus being in a location that made it possible for us to walk safely into town after dark. We had no difficulty communicating with the main staff person as her English was quite good. We both enjoyed visiting with her and found her and the other staff to be very friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate as was the well stocked kitchen.

yes guys, sorry to say this but my stay at your hostel basically sucked because it never happened. After 15 hours of traveling out of Europe to CR aka a major jet lag and a bus trip of 7 hours to Tamarindo, I came at your place only to hear that you made a mistake in the reservation and that you were full. Travelling alone as a woman and arriving at 9 in the evening did not make this very cool. So whatever and good luck!

Backpackers did not have our reservation. not sure if that's hostelworld's fault or backpackers. in any case, we had to find a different place last minute. fortunately the hotel luna llena next door had a vacancy and was WAY WAY WAY nicer than backpackers for only $10 more for 2 people AND we got a free breakfast for 2. backpackers was LOUD ALL NIGHT, even in a private room and we didn't get much sleep. i realize this may be typical of a hostel but when you're paying $50 a night i expect better
