Sheets were not very clean. You hear the very loud street the whole night because of the bad windows.

We stayed in a double room with ensuite bathroom. The room was pretty dark and did not have a pleasant smell. The shower leaked pretty badly when we used it and had to be cleaned up a couple of times by the cleaners. We were given a 10 peso discount for our leaky bathroom - that's 5%. The Wi-Fi is only available in the common areas and not in the room. The breakfast was decent for Argentina. I wouldn't recommend the place though - there are better hostels in Buenos Aires for the same or less.

Located in a cool old building with a few common areas and a deck for hanging out, Tango was a fun hostel to stay at, social, but not a "party" hostel (I heard stories about people who weren't allowed to hang out in the common room on a Friday night because of noise complaints). The staff was helpful with orienting me to the area, there are tours and activities. Breakfast is average, showers are pretty good. Location is excellent -- right near fun night life in Palermo, parks and sites.

We stayed in a double room on first floor. The room was pretty basic and smelled humidity and there was mold on the walls and the fan. It is quite noisy at night before people leave for the pub crawls. Breakfast was good ans the staff is helpful.

this hostel was just alright. if you're looking for fun don't come here. not allowed to bring in any outside drinks, the ones they do sell are expensive, 18 pesos per beer when they are 7 at the store and bottles of wine 40 pesos. we were also told we can't be loud anywhere in the hostel after 10pm. they literally turned the lights out on us and didn't let us play music in the bar area after 9:30 on a friday. good location and staff are really nice but the policies are terrible.

Hostel is located in a great location, staff was great, other travelers were fun. But, I stayed in a double private ensuite when I was there and the room was small and smelled like sewage most of the time. The drain in our bathroom also flooded the entire bathroom if you left the shower on for too long. Being that I wasn't spending much time in the room and am pretty laid back when it comes to judging hostels it wasn't that big of a deal but still something that was somewhat of a nuisance.

For me, the pick of the hostels in Palermo. Perfect location and friendly/helpful staff. Have been staying here on my visits to Argentina since 2003 and highly recommend it.

We stayed for just one night so we didn't get to know everybody in there but it seemed like very nice atmosphere

I asked a staff member for a direction and she sent me to a wrong adress, 40 minutes away from where I wanted to go. If they don´t know where places are they should just say it.

cant beat the location, great friendly staff, good breakfast clean rooms-- but a lot of stairs to climb-- regardless, I would definitely stay there again

This hostel was fabulous! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Beautiful art deco building. Great location, close to metro and the heart f Palermo (where all the action is). Big lockers, big kitchen, roof top terrace, hot showers, WIFI upstairs and down, lots of common areas... perfect perfect perfect.

I really enjoyed my stay at Tango backpackers, the staff were fun, relaxed and extremely helpful. I found after my stay that the place felt more like a home than just a place to lay my head and put my pack. I would recommend Tango backpackers to both my friends and anyone who might travel to Buenos Aires. Thanks Tango!

Amazing staff, and a very charming decor. Good location, It's near the subway and all the good places in Palermo. As a note to other backpackers, the hostel only accepts cash.

You pay a lot for a tiny privite room, but the breakfast is good. Although, when they say that breakfast is till 10am and you want to eat at 9:30 am, there's not much left.
