We had such a wonderful time at Tanita house! The authentic Teak houses are comfortable, clean, and well run. Fantastic location, charming and warm staff. Extensive breakfast included with the room, we were never hungry!!! It was an absolutely fantastic find!!!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a GREAT hostel! It\'s about a 20 minute walk to the city center which may be further than some want to be but we really liked the location and enjoyed walking to/from each day. Lots of little art galleries around it which were nice. This place is great for couples as each room is essentially its own building, a small bungalow of sorts. My friend and I loved the privacy of having our own space. Definitely recommend, loved it!!

We stayed at Tanita House for a few nights and couldn't have been happier. Aor, the owner, is so kind, helped us arrange things to do and even drove us to our next guest house. The landscaping and furnishings are charming and there is also a kitchen area that is always stocked with bottles of water, juice, milk, yogurt, coffee and tea. Since we were there during Songkran, Aor and her family also invited us to share some special food they were cooking for their own private celebration!

I have stayed in many many hostels around the world. Tanita House would have to be the friendliest place I have stayed. Aoi (I hope I spelt it right) was superb, very friendly.......................and even gave us a lift to the airport when I Taxi hadn't arrived. Thank you very much Aoi, if I'm ever back in Chiang Mai, Tanita House will be my choice..................and I hope the water guns got put to good use !

This was an incredibly peaceful place to stay in Chiang Mai! Anh is just wonderful and will help you with anything that you need. Charming bungalows, quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk to the old city. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Just off the main street by the river, Tanita House is quiet, clean, full of charm and has some of the nicest people in the world as staff. Free breakfast of egg and bacon, plus a selection of fruits and yoghurts, was also really nice. Aor, the owner of Tanita House, is absolutely lovely and even drove us to our next accommodation. We would definitely consider going back to Tanita House.

What an extra ordinary place to stay run by an amazing family and they make the best breakfast I had in Thailand. We enjoyed staying at this establishment and Chiang Mai so much that we wanted to stay longer but could not get tickets changed. My hubby\'s brother decided to get married in Chaing Mai and the bride was surprised with a lovely bouquet of flowers on her wedding day by the owner. Very helpfull in booking of tours and taxi\'s and recommendations. Personal touch. Highly recommended

Aor the owner and her father are very special people. If you are looking for a place that is traditional Thai house you willl have found it herel. Not only is Aor (or) the sweetest lady on earth but they treat you like royalty. The food was excellent and there was always something to eat at the open air kitchen. Our only problem was we only booked for two nights and she was full the rest of the time. There is not a pool, but very nice accomodations. The beds are traditional but comfy.

With over a month in Asia, this was my favourite place to stay. It was full of character, a peaceful haven in a busy city, and Aor was so welcoming and helpful that I really looked forward to going back there.

Tanita house is a set of antique bungalows made in the traditional thai style. It was absolutely GORGEOUS, there was free internet, free water/tea/coffee/bacon and eggs for breakfast, and Aoy was super helpful for anything we wanted. The place is amazing and I would love to go back. We actually wanted to change our plans to stay there longer, but they were booked up.

Outstanding guest house, which is run by the nicest staff we've ever met. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy, clean and well equipped place to stay in Chiang Mai, this is it! Rooms are very nice, and the beautiful yard of the guest house is a perfect place to relax after spending a buzy day downtown (which is within 20 minute walking distance, or 5 minutes by taxi or tuktuk). Aor (the manager) takes great care of her guests, and makes sure that you don't miss anything. Good breakfast included.

Excellent host, Aor - is very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast to fill you up for the day as well as free water/juice/yoghurt all day round are pleasant compliments. Easy to organize any tours/transportation and the restaurant she suggested for dinner just next to the hostel was my best authentic meal in Thailand!
