Beautiful resort with amazing view, great spots to relax, nice swimming pool and delicious restaurant!! Only downside is the location, very remote, around 20 minutes walk to the 'busy' Nungwi with restaurants, bars and sandy beach. At night you need a taxi to bring you home for your safety.
Tanzanite is away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach around the corner. The rustic feel and friendly staff makes it a very relaxing spot. They also make some killer cocktails during happy hour! Another bonus was the free snorkelling equipment as there is a reef on your doorstep. The only complaint was that they had some problems with their water system and their credit card facility. But it got sorted out in the end. All in all, a great little place!
Tiny beach but at low tide good access to large sandy beaches a short walk away. Very friendly staff who help arrange Activities away from the hotel. Ripe mangos pineapple and watermelon a delight for breakfast and a convenient restaurant in the evening. An enjoyable stay at a beatiful location. Thanks!
Great if you are looking for a quiet place to rest. Just enjoy the rithm of the tides, and the smiles of the personnel. Good value for money. If you are looking for more fun, you will need to go the close town of Nungwi. There is nothing but excursions, snorkeling and relaxing you can do at the resort! A drawback: even if close to Nungwi, there is no actual beach in front of the resort: tides come and go, leaving a fantastic scenery but not very comfortable for bathing
We absolutely loved our stay at Tanzanite beach resort. The value for money is excellent, the bungalows are beautiful, clean and have lovely views of the beautiful gardens and beach. The food and service was great and the staff were lovely and made our stay even more special. The location is great,in a quiet area with its own beach and only a few minutes walk down the beach or through the village to other parts of Nungwi. We have made some lovely friends and it is a place we'll never forget xx
the dishes for dinner could vary a little bit more (after one week they recur), and the day-trips were a little bit expensive compared to trips offered from other hotels, everythink else was very good and we enjoyed ourselfs very much, thank you
There is no swimming here, (no pool OK, thats a hostel..)) also no sea swimming, full with sharp old coral stone and sea urgines (very strong type, can pass all kind of boots....for non swimmers everthing is OK here, very nice natural beach, good food, good staff, good managers. bungalows not so big but Ok for a hostel, excursions are expensive..
