Decent place....nothing too special. Not sure what reviewers meant about it being a party hostel. Was relatively quiet for my taste. That said, WAY too expensive for a hostel. Granted Punta Del Este is expensive , but $30-$35/night for a shared room? Biggest problem with this hostel are the flies. It's a surprisingly clean place, but the flies attack anyway...so much so that it's tough to sleep while they buzz in your ears and land on your legs. Not horrible, but doubt I would recommend

Helpful and friendly staff

Great place, close to the beach and staff was very helpful. Only thing that I didn't like were the flies that were in our room every night.

I do not understand negative reviews for this hostel unless things have changed dramatically recently. Best security i have ever known. Staff friendly and helpful and location fantastic - right on the beach. Thanks for a great stay.

The hostel is a pretty old house, in an amazing location, just only 50 meters far from El Emir beach and 200 meters far from Av. Gorlero. It is so clean.

Don't go there if you want to sleep. Lot of NOISE, music all the time. The staff put loud music at 5 am and was surprised that we wanted to sleep. It's definitely more a nightclub than a hostel.

The receptionist during the day was so helpful as the airline had lost our luggage and she assisted us as much as she could. It is not the most secure building as it is quite easy to walk in and out. Great location right by the beach. Basic facilities but the other guests were very happy giving it a nice atmosphere. If you want an early night this is not the place to go!

Mostly tiny rooms with far too few bathrooms and very little airflow. Very loud between both other guests and traffic, making it impossible to sleep.
