Lovely hostel! They rent bikes for free and also free they give you every night the famous chocolate pudding with ice cream! The rooms have enough space, staff is really nice and to me everything was great!

A peaceful, but good sprited stay. Just that the chocolate pudding ran out before me and my friends got any... So some development potential in rationing!

Advertised breakfast was a no-show. Put an extra person in our room, though that got sorted by 8 p.m. The pudding is excellent.

Staff was great. Property was reasonably clean. My only complaint would be the walls are a bit too thin. I could hear snoring next door and any talking going on near my room. Otherwise, a nice place with nice staff and a good location.

I stayed during the Christmas season and it was wonderful. we had Chocolate pudding every night which was delicious and on Christmas Day they put on a free BBQ. The staff were fantastic, always helpful with tours & local information. would go back again in a heart beat.

The double room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Also the bathrooms outside were clean. Lots of people there and easy to start a conversation. The only thing that was less good was the weather but thhis is nobody's fault of course :-)

Awesome hostel. Helped us organise a kayaking trip with Abel Tasman kayaks (remote coast and seals) which I would definitely recommend. AND of course, it has awesome chocolate pudding.

So far this is the nicest, cleanest and most value for money hostel I have stayed in. Highly recommended.

We stayed there for two nights and absolutely we enjoyed. The locations is a bit far from city centre but not a big problem. The best thing is you can get free chocolate pudding at 8 p.m. Also I think it's just winter time but you can get free breakfast as well. The owner was very helpful. We had to leave very early morning due to the flight but he arranged for us early breakfast and checking out. I recommend everyone this backpacker who has sweet teeth and keen on staying near the lake. Thanks!

The hostel was clean and the free chocolate pudding and breakfast were a nice touch. Not that much atmosphere when I was there however I guess that's more to do with the guests than the hostel. Helpful staff and 100mb free internet included.

Good independent hostel. The owner/manager runs a tight ship. The free breakfast and wifi is a nice touch. Recommended.

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in! Herb garden, chocolate pudding, breakfast, comfy couches, cafe music playing, exceptionally clean, comics in the bathrooms, quiet off the main street. I am in love! I came back for an additional two nights after my original one booked because I love the hostel so much.
