Internet is free, but very slow. Great hot chocolate pudding and ice cream every night at 8pm!

Location ok. 10min walk to city center. Pudding is great. Wifi ok, very slow to not working in the eve. Staff very friendly. Very cosy atmosphere.

Very nice hostel; friendly staff who will help with trips and activity bookings. Really nice outdoor areas to relax in the sun. Our room was very clean and tidy; much nicer than some hotel rooms. Clean showers and toilets, and hair dryers for guests use. A 10 minute walk from the centre of Nelson. By far the best thing about the hostel is the free hot chocolate pudding and custard every night at 8pm - I'd rather have this than a free breakfast any day!

Free wifi, choc pudding and ice cream. Excellent location.

Tasman Bay Back Packers is a very busy but well run hostel. We were there over the very busy Xmas/New Year period but found the staff who run the hotel, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The establishment was well run and clean despite the heavy traffic through the place. We were one of the oldest groups there and we had our 8 year old son with us. Value for money it was very impressive. He enjoyed the place immensely. Great base to use to discover the charms of Nelson and Bleheim.

A good hostel with free parking and a decent room although was a bit of a walk from town and not too easy to find

I liked the hostel the only downside was my room was next to the stairwell and whenever anyone went up or down stairs they woke me up.
