Great place! Very nice staff and location. Best hostel in NZ so far! Make sure to be there at 8pm for the daily treat!
Nice hostel, loved the beds in the 4 beds dorm (where I did stay for 3 nights -2 before Abel Tasman, 1 afterwards): 3 bottom beds and the top bed wasn't straight on the top of someone else. Free coffee and tea was a nice touch, as well as the free chocolate pudding every night. Laundry facilities are good, heaps of room to dry everything outside. About 10minutes walk from the Isite (15 from the library and the supermarket Countdown). Good free wifi, lots of board games. Recommend it!
Have to mention the ice cream and chocolate self saucing pudding, yummy. A touch of home with the herb garden.

Just the best hostel ever !! I could not ask for more. The location is about 5-10 min to the city center but it's just perfect. The people here are so friendly, both the staff and the other backpackers. I've been here more than a week i and just love it !! 100 % Value for money.
The staff are very helpful, location a little bit out of the way to walk but accessible enough. The accommodation is good, although there aren't any storage in the rooms which would be advisable. A very busy hostel and the Intercity bus drops off and picks up right outside. This is the type of place you would stay to chill out for a few days and hang out.
The fire alarm went of every morning around 7am. have been told it has been happening for a long time. The stuff were informed and did nothing about it while I was there. Rooms must be locked manually so the security really depends on your room mates. There are no security cameras at least I did not see them. No hooks in the room to hang your jackets etc. Enough sockets, located on the bottom of the wall. Spacy rooms, free awesome sport bikes. The pudding is more a pudding-cake, delicious!
One of the best hostels I stayed in in New Zealand! They do make the difference in little things as their ad says. Nice admosphere between all inhabitants. Attempts from the staff to have diner together. Nice freebees are the unlimited breakfast and hot chocolat pudding with ice in the evening, pick-up@ busstop and wonderfull beds! No tv, so no distraction from that and this makes contact with other people easier. I would recommend this hostel to all visitors in Nelson. I'd stay here again!
Stayed for only one night. Greeted by a shuttle bus from nelson town centre, the staff were friendly and inviting. Comfy beds and a pretty decent kitchen. About a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
Loved the promotion of community through the free dessert

Fantastic hostel, great free chocolate pudding, great atmosphere, nice, clean rooms.
Tasman Bay was a really nice cosy, homely backpackers with a comfortable vibe. Easy to settle in and feel at home. Lovely common area with lots of space to chill. And a friendly cat!
Great hostel, comfortable beds and nice atmosphere. The free Wi-Fi is excellent and even works in your room in case you want to Skype where you won't be around as many people. Free chocolate pudding and a no Wi-Fi (loosely enforced) during that time rule was great, everyone put down their devices and talked of their travels.
This is a great hostel. It has a really homely and comfortable vibe. Good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Amazing hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream every evening is amazing!! Good location as well to explore the surrounding area.
Amazing little hostel. Staff were so helpful! Shame I only got to stay one night! Lovely free breakfast and chocolate pudding. Great friendly integrating atmosphere!
Great hostel with a very homely feel... Chocolate pudding is the best!!
The men at the front desk were incredibly helpful and flexible. They have a really good vision and the overall atmosphere is better than at most hostels. All kiwi music! But while I was there, the place was completely taken over by loud, obnoxious, insular woofers. I was there three nights and none of them even made eye contact with me. What is worse is that they were so loud that I couldn't talk to other travellers. The managers should put better limits on them and break them up somehow.
The free breakfast and the pudding were both amazing, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the wifi was really fast.
The staff was so helpful getting settled! Everyone was so welcoming and fun to be around...such a great atmosphere!
