Good location in a quiet area that's a quick 10-25 min walk to any site in the city. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast is good. 6 bed dorm room is HUGE and no bunk beds!!! Everything is clean and modern, but the 1st floor shower easily floods & has a 5 second timer. Pro tip: use the 2nd floor bathrooms. Make sure you ask staff for a free mosquito repellant plug-in to use or you might get eaten alive like me! Common area was quiet but staff said they're fixing that soon!
The staff was great! The facilities almost mimic a hotel in terms of how clean and organized they are. A little far from the center but in the middle of an actual Italian neighborhood which made finding great restaurants that much easier. The atmosphere was laid back but still managed to meet a lot of great people
I absolutely loved this hostel! They were incredibly gracious and helpful! the hostel is definitely a LUXURY hostel! i extended my stay for 3 extra nights because i loved it. The staff go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable and provide an extraordinary amount of suggestions for things to do in and around Florence. I cant recommend this place enough!
Although the hostel is a short 20 in walk from the train station, it is easy to find and I liked the quieter location. There is a very nice resto on the same street as well as a small store near by. The hostel itself was very clean, has a lift and serves good coffee in the morning. The rooms are also very clean and fresh towels were provided. Staff were helpful and I also managed to make tour bookings at the reception desk. Slightly more than other hostels in the city but totally worth it!
This hostel was really nice- it looked more like a hotel than a hostel. The only thing is, because it was so large it was difficult meeting other travelers. It would be a lot better if the hostel made the effort to get everyone together for activities, etc. But the room was very nice, staff was really nice, and in a good location.
Extremely friendly staff with great recommendations of things to do, where to eat, drink etc. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and liked that you got a big fluffy towel on arrival and everyone had their own chair next to their bed in the rooms.
I recomend it! It was confortable, the breakfast very good (amazing coffe), the location is near Palazzo Piti, at a confortable distance from the train station, not the best but you can do it by walking. And there is an exterior zone very cozy.

Great breakfast, room, and staff! :) Not in the city center, but only a short walk/bus ride away - and the hostel is on a nice, quiet street.
quiet neighbourhood, and still close to the centre; positively special interior which gives the hostel a special touch - we loved it! nice people at the reception and the bar; inviting patio to have a last drink before going to bed; nice coffee in the morning
Tasso Hostel was great, i would say it's the funkiest and most yuppy/hipster hostel i've stayed at. The staff were very nice and very generous with drinks ;)
The shower for the dorm was a push button that lasted about 10 seconds at a time. But that was a minor thing. The staff was awesome. Use of kitchen was awesome. It was a very clean place. I highly recommend this Hostel.

In their intro the say run the bell for a pleasant surprise well it wasn't a good surprise. The hostel itself is amazing, really nice. But the guy I dealt with the most was not very friendly. I rang the bell he opened the door and walked away. There had just been a wedding that weekend and he had no time to say hi or even acknowledge me repeatedly asking for luggage storage. He would look right through me and that continued my entire stay. Nice hostel but guess not for 41 traveler.
The best that I have ever been until now. The ambient is awesome, big and beautiful. There are a piano and a acoustic guitar that anybody can play and they rent bikes too. The people of the hostel are very kind and helpful, specially Frederico and his moustache. If you can, stay there!
Four major advantages : good location, friendly staff, big rooms, and good breakfast. I warmly recommend.
Tasso Hostel was simply amazing. Located not too far from the central Firenze SMN station. The atmosphere and the environment that they have created in the hostel is very welcoming. There is a certain energy in the hostel that is very peaceful and calming. Romina ( I think that's her name) is very knowledgeable about the city and a pleasure to talk to for tips on how and what to visit. I loved my stay here - DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
Falls more between a hotel and hostel - if flashpacking is your thing, you're into funky furnishings and don't mind paying for these perks then go for it. If more of a humble backpacker it might not be your style. Very good kitchen. One recommendation I have is hand soap in the bathrooms - hostels skimping on that is never a good look.
Highly recommended, exceptionally pleasant surroundings, friendly staff, great kitchen for storing and preparing own food.

The rooms are ample, very clean and from the room you can't hear people who are at lobby parting so if you want meet people it is possible, then when you want go sleep, is possiblle as well ! There are lockers available inside the room, wich are large enough to fit backpackers. There are many bathrooms so whenever you want to use one of them rarely you have to wait for. There are some facilities like bicycles for rental and laundry. Surely I recomend this hostel for friends!!
