Value for money. Enjoyed my stay. People who shared behaved very well.

positive: location! (you could walk to every important place, tram station 2 minutes away, bus station 5 minutes away) free wi-fi!, staff was quite friendly, washing machine bath and kitchen looked dirty but they weren't, negative: not enough cutlery in the kitchen, no jobs on the jobs board (we went to another hostel, where they had a larger choice) would come back again because it's quite cheap and the location is great

All in all, this place needs a bit of renovation. Our window opened to an enclosed roof, where all the aircon units were, so no chance of fresh air. Instead, 2 inches of pigeion droppings. The advertised pancake brekki didnt happen, only corn flakes. 5 showers and 3 toilets for the entire hostel. Techno music at 7 in the morning, even on weekdays (pokie machines downstairs). Would not go back, there are better options in that price range (we have tried it!)

Nice hostel, the bunks were small in height but other than that very easy sleep. Would stay there again!

It seemed very run down and fairly dirty. The Staff was nice but that was the only upside. I did not feel overly secure in this hostel and did not want to spend any more time there then absolutly nessesary.

Staff smily but don't expect any help from them. The hostel has a nice balcony common area. Rooms are ok. Good deal for the price.

Excellent hostel, friendly staff and nice beds. Just one thing I missed, namely a central lounge or living room, where you could ang out and meet others. Now the most important place for this is the kitchen, where I didn't really wanted to spend too much time. Other than that, definitly go here!

The staff were lovely, very helpful. Was hard to access due to stairs and no lift. Lots of great perks - washer/dryer, free breakfast, lovely balcony over street and free wi-fi. However, it is right on busiest street in Adelaide so fairly noisy at night

I was so appalled with the state of this hostel (dirty, showers only had curtains, very average rooms) that I ended up staying at a friend's place the first night I was in Adelaide. Hopefully with the renovations that were going on it will/has improve(d). The location is good for the night life, but the downside to that is it is very loud. Honestly, there's no need to stay on Hindley street since nearly everything is within walking distance anyway.

Worst backpacking place I have stayed at and I have stayed at a few. No air conditioning and the window to my dorm room was bust so we had to hold it open with the ladders from the bunk beds. The toilets and showers were disgusting to a degree where I used the YHA hostel round the corner even though I wasn't staying there. The place is above a pokie place and pub that is open to an ungodly hour. The only good point to this place was location and free wi-fi. Otherwise a complete dump.

i enjoyed my stay there, just didn\'t like that you had to wait outside of the hostel until you finally could check in at 11am

I pointed out a missing lock on one of the shower rooms which staff were unaware of.When fixed, which the staff were happy to do being unaware of it,this would help with the congestion early when everybody gets up.Apart from that,I,d be happy to use it again, tom finlay

The place is an utter dive. I was in a room with 12 other people FFS. There was no storage space in the room so I had to leave my backpack on my bed & hope for the best. Security = zilch! There was no air conditioning so we had to have a fan on & leave the door into the hall so we could get some air in. A staff member told us to use one toilet over another as it was "less filthy" & said I could sleep in a bed that "looked clean" & hoped I didn't find a Swedish backpacker in it.

It would be so great if the showers with just curtains were changed to actual doors. Its not practical when they are male-female shared. It means alot of people are using only two showers when there are four more sitting there empty. The other downer was the fridge in the kitchen, it was so full that the door didn't shut. Now thats a waste of energy!
