Very good hostel. The only complain is about the breakfast.. No fruit, whole grain bread etc.. But I still recommend it very much! Clean, good staff, great pub crawl with Graça and walking tour with João! There was also a guy at the front desk on the evenings very nice and who gave us great info.. can't remember his name ;(

A real gem! Plenty of space to chill (roof deck, dining area, downstairs) Arranged social activities (walking tours) Tattva has a hotel-like service and a homely hostel-like feel, with a central location close to all the best sites in Porto.

The hostel was very welcoming; the staff greeted us like old friends. There were many activities organised for us to participate in, and they weren't too expensive.

Nice new place, well situated, right next to the sao bento train station and the cathedral! The owners were really nice and friendly, but the rest of the staff could improve (and the cleanliness of the rooms could be better). Appart from that, the beds are awesome (curtains all around, really comfy matress, a ventilator and a lamp in each bunk, plus each had 2-3 power outlets!!!). Finally there is a restaurant and the food was really good!

Great Staff !

This is a good hostel. I'm giving it a 97 percent because everything about it is excellent. The only thing I didn't personally like was when I was there, a huge group of spaniards took up about 2/3rds of the hostel. It made it feel completely empty! Which is a shame because it seems like it's quite easy to meet people there. But Grace who runs the walking tours and pub crawls is an absolute delight!

Would definitely stay here again. Was good vibe, good breakfast and a short walk from the train station which was perfect.

My favourite hostel so far. Everything was exactly as supposed to be, and even better. I was very positively surprised. :)

Does this hostel have it all? Some rely on facilities, some on customer service, and some purely on location. This hostel manages to complete all with flying colours. A larger hostel with a homely feel. By far the best hostel I have stayed in. All the staff resonate a sincere dedication to their roles in a friendly and professional manner. Comfort from arrival to the beds. Highly recommended. 100%!

Great location, great facility, loved the automatic lockers. Staff were friendly but at times a bit slow eg. they will ask you to wait while they sort through papers in a binder for something else before talking to you. Dinner with staff was great, highly recommend that.

All-over a great experience. Things were a bit gloomy but that was rather the terrible November weather playing out, I could tell the place would be awesome in warmer times. The hostel was very clean, with a very big kitchen and several cozy living spaces. Rooms were clean, the lockers are big, and bathrooms are conveniently located inside the room. My only issue was that the rooms were rather overcrowded, with people constantly walking into each other in the mornings.

Really great hostel. Nice central location. Clean rooms. Large recreation and breakfast area with convenient access to computers/wifi. Very convenient electronic card that can also be used to open large lockers under the beds. Hard to believe how cheap it is!

I stayed at Tatva with a friend, and we both loved the hostel. The dinners are a lot of fun and a bargain for a tenner. The facilities are the best I've seen in a hostel. Everything is very clean, the terrace is a nice place to relax, the staff are very friendly and the beds are nice and cozy (with curtains that completely surround it, so privacy is guaranteed). All this for a few euros. I definitely recommend it!

Tattva was a great place with a good vibe. I really liked the privacy in the room (curtain, light, fan, and outlet for each bed) and the lockers. The staff were all very friendly. I went to the staff dinner, which was delicious and well-worth the money. The location is great - walking distance to the river and the hot spots of the city. I recommend staying here.

They get a lot of things right for a big hostel. But it's still a big hostel. There are still groups. The bed curtains are the best invention ever. Though some idiots take that as an excuse to turn the lights on at any time of the night, even though the curtains don't block bright light. The dinner offered is fine. The house wine that comes with it is terrifying.

This is deservedly the best hostel in the world! I have stayed in Lisbon in the 2nd best large hostel ( last year they were apparently 1st), but by no means is this hostel comparable. This hostel in Porto is far more confortable and much better designed! Loved my stay here!
