Amazing hostel with awesome guys on staff. Joshua is so funny! The girls are not near as friendly as the guys, but they can be somewhat helpful. The guys make you feel right at home and are very welcoming! The atmosphere is fun, with group dinner every night at their delicious restaurant. The actual rooms, beds, and bathrooms are very good quality and clean!! You even have your own privacy curtain, lamp, outlet charger, and oversized locker for every bed! Fantastic location as well. 5 stars!!!

Perfect location. Abundant breakfast. perfect location (2 minutes to Sao Bento), every bed in dorm has a courtain, which provides more privacy (PERFECT SOLUTION!!), nice terrace for sunbathing or hanging out ! Very relaxed and helpful young staff!

Very good hostel. The only complain is about the breakfast.. No fruit, whole grain bread etc.. But I still recommend it very much! Clean, good staff, great pub crawl with Graça and walking tour with João! There was also a guy at the front desk on the evenings very nice and who gave us great info.. can't remember his name ;(

Hi! Thanks for your review! We do have fruit and whole grain bread for breakfast. Maybe you came at a time when our staff were refilling? Anyways, sorry about this. Wish to see you again soon so you have an even better experience! Happy travels from your friends@ Tattva

A real gem! Plenty of space to chill (roof deck, dining area, downstairs) Arranged social activities (walking tours) Tattva has a hotel-like service and a homely hostel-like feel, with a central location close to all the best sites in Porto.

The hostel was very welcoming; the staff greeted us like old friends. There were many activities organised for us to participate in, and they weren't too expensive.

Nice new place, well situated, right next to the sao bento train station and the cathedral! The owners were really nice and friendly, but the rest of the staff could improve (and the cleanliness of the rooms could be better). Appart from that, the beds are awesome (curtains all around, really comfy matress, a ventilator and a lamp in each bunk, plus each had 2-3 power outlets!!!). Finally there is a restaurant and the food was really good!

Clean hostel with good facilities, but not the most fun. The privacy curtains around the beds are great, you really feel like you're in your own little pod. The problem is you don't meet your roommates as easily or know who else is in the room, and people can forget that curtains aren't soundproof. Good for comfort and sleep, not as good for partying or socialising. Outdoor space was completely closed (for the season I guess).

Nice place, everything is new and clean, good security (electronic device for your room /locker), free wifi and computers always aviable to connect, excellent price, including breakfast, location near to the center of the city, and the staff was amazing! Simply the best hostel i've ever been! The comunal dinners are also great to join in!

Great Staff !

This is a good hostel. I'm giving it a 97 percent because everything about it is excellent. The only thing I didn't personally like was when I was there, a huge group of spaniards took up about 2/3rds of the hostel. It made it feel completely empty! Which is a shame because it seems like it's quite easy to meet people there. But Grace who runs the walking tours and pub crawls is an absolute delight!

Would definitely stay here again. Was good vibe, good breakfast and a short walk from the train station which was perfect.

Spacious rooms, comfy beds and clean toilets. Location was central and within walking distance of major sites. This place has it all! The evening dinners with staff is a great way to get to know some locals and meet others in the hostel! Free breakfast was also brilliant. Highly recommended!

My favourite hostel so far. Everything was exactly as supposed to be, and even better. I was very positively surprised. :)
