Tauranga Central Backpackers Reviews

I felt like I was in a half-way house for Tauranga's wayward youth. One girl in my dorm, from Tauranga, told me she was there to "try to stay out of mischief". Another in my room felt it appropriate to urinate in a toilet with the door open. Twice. Perhaps a screening process of some sort is necessary.The room was absolutely filthy, in desperate need of a vacuum and potentially a scrub. The owner was very nice and helpful, but the rest of the staff were abysmal, disinterested. Wicked location.

This was one of my least favourite Hostels I have stayed in- great location- Rooms were smelling, rusty, bathroom very dirty- thios place really needs a good make over- needs to be closed down over the winter and totally renovated. The night manager was not the friendliest, I was in a 4 bed female dorm and none night without telling me there were 5 people in the room- a husband and wife and a young daughter- first of all it was a female dorm nd second of all it was a 4 bed dorm-
