At the far end of town and a bit of a climb up the hill, but clean and comfortable and very well managed.

Friends was great because of the people staying there. There was one staff member in particular, Brigid, who really brought people in. However, when she left, so did all the people. The main westerner working there hardly leaves his seat - when I first arrived, I wasn't even shown my room - I was just told to go upstairs. You can't play music without earphones and you may get asked 20 times how long you're staying-even if you already paid the first day you arrived.
