Don't make the mistake of going into this backpackers ! If you are wishing to rest you will be prevented from sleeping by the music and in case of problem the staff won't do anything to help you. Unpleasant experience for myself.

It's loud, dirty and sloppy, but very charming. It's great for solo travelers, maybe not so great for groups. It's very dirty, but the staff is fantastic and alot of fun, and there is no excuse to not have a great time. Try getting an upstairs bedroom - they are way cleaner and the bathrooms are much nice, FANTASTIC location.

Great vibes at this hostel, met really cool people and overall a very fun time!

dont go into this hostel expecting much but it does the job and has a great atmosphere. no lockers in rooms even though it states on the website it does.

A party place as expected. A bit worn down (beds, showers), but clean and good value for money. The location is good to go out (Florida St.), not so if you want to visit the stadium, beach (promenade) or uShaka marine world.

Loud, sloppy, and enchanting; everything I want when I stay at a hostel. Also the staff are a lot cooler when they're a little sauced.

Tekweni in an excellent hostel with a great vibe, friendly fun staff who make you feel like you're in a home away from home and in a fantastic location. Days spent chilling by the pool, evenings partying at the bar... I'll definitely be back!!

Staff was unfriendly and a lot of drunk people in the hostel making a lot of noise!

Too much noisy. Every single day there was loud music which was kept on an loud until late, usually more than midnight. The beds were uncomfortable. Toilets, kitchen and tables outside not that clean.
