I didnt end up staying there cos i felt a bad vibe, scary street which i wouldnt want to walk down in the dark and there were just a lot of sleazy men..not my style

The place was very charming. Single room very good value for money. Staff gets an "average" as the girl was very nice and helpful, the guy rather unfriendly and should work at a reception if he doesn't like talking to people.

We stayed for only one night, so I can't say a lot. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was very sweet but that's how they have breakfast in Argentina. My mattress was a bit thin, I could not sleep well. But for one night, I can't complain.

The hostel was a bit far away from the center and the area around didnt seem to be really safety. The kitchen itself wasnt very useable. The building is really nice and the doble bed dorm was also good looking.

Don t expect any luxury; this hostel offers good value for the private rooms, Which nonetheless in my case was dusty in the edges and had a closet that literally fell apart when touching its doors. The one thing that truely made it a great stay were the other guests. Breakfast is typical argentinean (lots of sweet bakery and without fresh fruit). All in all ok an OK place to stay.

Very friendly English speaking staff. Very clean, good breakfast and excellent atmosphere.

The staff at Telmotango were great. The location was also fantastic, walking distance to lots of the main streets and resteraunt areas. The breakfasts were great, but the room got very, very hot. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

Nice old building with patio. Rooms a bit small with nice fan. Good breakfast.

I met some good people there, the hostel is really beautiful, you have a perfect breakfast and they give you a lot of tips about what to do in buenos aires. Everything secure. My best plan in buenos aires....

Was nice to have small shared rooms of just two beds. The place feels dated and in need of some attention. One staff member was disinterested, the other helpful.

The building is great but sadly the facilities stop this being a great hostel. The kitchen is perfect if you dont want to cook much with only a few pans, some plastic cutlery, plastic cups, and 3 plates. These is nowhere to sit if you want time to yourself as you have to compete with Credence Clearwater Revival at reception or the tv in the bar area. The roof terrace was unusable in the day as there was no shade: the stands for the sun shade umbrellas were there but the umbrellas were long gone.

This is a beautiful 19th Century building with many features still maintained, including a nice atmosphere in the dining room. This is just as well, because there is no other way to meet other travellers. The facilities are clean and adequate but the rooms are very hot and stuffy. They need to put up some sort of screens in front of the windows which allow you to open the windows and still have privacy. I needed to have the ceiling fan on all night. The staff are helpful.

Pro: The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable bed. We felt refreshingly safe during our stay. The breakfast was pretty good. Our baggage was safely locked away when we checked out. Generally speaking it was a good choice for a trip where you return to the hostel only to sleep. Good price-service ratio. Contra: The room was a bit cramped and uncomfortably hot at night, even with a ventilator running. it was not possible to open the windows without losing your privacy completely.

a nice little hostel, very quiet so dont expect a party, nice breakfast included, staff very helpful

The staff were all really kind and helpful. I arrived with a boxed bike that took up the hallway but they were cool about it. Great location lots to see and do. Airport transfer was smooth and they arranged a taxi for my onward journey.
