rooms, helpful staff and breakfasts

lots of character in building (rooms and roof terrace), friendly staff, decent breakfast, main common area is the upstairs terrace (could be tricky in bad weather), across the street from a decent market, very basic kitchen. walkable distance from the defensa street in san telmo.

matrasses should be improved, shared bathrooms could be cleaned more often... otherwise a very nice hostel

Location is ok.... not too far a walk from microcentre. I personally didn't really like the San Telmo area too much, I would stay in Palermo instead. Staff are friendly enough, rooms are very simple. The place has a bar but it doesn't seem to be used at all. Breakfast isn't bad- toast, cereal, pastries, fruit drink, coffee. The roof area is good for a couple of beers. 6/10.

Beauiful old building in the city center. Nice staff, especially Alejandro he's adorable , he gave me evething I wanted .Victor.

A very nice house with atmosphere in the middle of San Telmo. Enjoyed the 4 days I stayed here. Especially the terrace is a hot deal. Sitting in the evening with a cold beer and chatting with other travellers. The rooms around the terrace are somehow better located - but very small and with a mini-window they get very hot. Matresses are a bit poor and the shared bathrooms not always clean - but no severe things to complain. In total a very good deal for location and atmosphere.

Nice that they keep lost luggage which can be picked up a few weeks later.

Rooms are tiny. Dirty walls in the rooms, dirty tilings in the bathroom. No air conditioning! Air Conditioning is a standard in BsAs. Even cheaper hostels have one. Noise level is average BsAs, means you need earplugs. Breakfast, dissapointing. Location? San Telmo it's better than La Boca certainly, but who would like to stay in La Boca? Stay in Recolata, or Retiro or Palermo and visit San Telmo Sunday for the Fair. Bottom line, spring or late autumn you might consider it.

Agreed with some of the previous comments regarding rooms adjacent to main road. Avoid those rooms. Confirm your room locations and conditions first before making the payments. If have problems, look for the key person, George, a nice staff with long hair. I made a request to have my room changed but was told by one of the staffs that all the rooms were "occupied". I am glad that I finally met George and he helped me to sort the things out.

Very nice hostel !! very clean , very safe and helpful staff

This hostel is located in a colonial building and the interior and common areas are beautiful, but the rooms are tiny, dark and dingy - very unfortunately - with no air conditioner and a stuffy smell. Our private twin room had a set of bunk beds, instead of 2 single beds, and not much space. Other rooms that I had a chance to glance into were no better. Staff however, were very nice and friendly and helped with airport taxis, etc. Good Argentine breakfast in a nice lounge.

Very nice hostel, has an excellent roof terrace and the staff were particularly nice. It has a traditional appearance inside and felt very secure.
