Great place and nice rooms. Stayed there 2 times and loved it. Extremely helpful staff and location was close to 2 subway routes, 2/4. Lots of places nearby to eat and pick up groceries. Would definitely stay there again.

Good value for money hostel. Small, but clean rooms. Walls are thin, so you can hear everything from outside.

The BBQ night is the highlight time for my whole China trip! The hostel (actually a guest house or boutique hotel) organized that. All of us sitting on the roof top, in the moon light and breeze, enjoy music and Chinese BBQ food, and beer, that's so so nice. They also give all guests there one time of free tickets to watch the Gong Fu panda show. Because they have good relationship with the theater, so they can get free tickets for us. The show is also very interesting.

Pretty cool place, everything is just nice! Esp, they have several choice of Great Wall tours, to go to different parts of the wall. All are amazing place. I went to two sections of walls, one is a non-touristy one, about 4 hours hiking from Shi Xia Guan to old Ba Da Ling. This is a significant tour, no shopping, no waste time, enjoy hiking on the old looking wall and view, no one bother you (very quiet there, I shot a lot of good photos) , it is a bit hard but so good experience.

Nice hostel, very glad we stayed here. Well organised trips on offer. Friendly good staff - super English. Dumpling evening was great! Bike rental would have been great, we found getting around tough in Beijing. Metro stops are far apart and taxis very hard to get. Bikes would have made out trip perfect.

You get the real feeling of a Hutong when you stay at Templeside Lianlian. Cosy! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The location is not that good. 15min to subway and you need to change lines often. The cleanliness is good. Because it is very popular you have to book well in advance. The prices are bit steep for what you get but that is because LIanlian is popular and it is Beijing.

The hostel staff is very helpful, efficient and polite. Completely oriented towards the simplification of the tourist's life. The Templeside is located in a neighborhood with some ancient and modern in less than other sites, but has character, great weather and friendly environment.

Had a great stay Bobby and Emma - thanks for your hospitality! Don't forget to permanently fix the sluggish drain in the shower.

This place was great. It's always a wonderful experience staying in a remodeled Hutong in this part of Beijing. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Beijing. :)

We enjoyed our two nights at the Templeside hostel. Although finding taxis was a major challenge, it was pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed the hutong area and eating street food for breakfast. The down side that we had was that the hostel switched 4 members of our family to the other hostel- which although it was close was inconvenient. They were supposed to have the 4 bedroom family suite, instead got a basement suite shared with staff and no private bathroon.
