Hostel stay was fine, though the tour booking price for the Great Wall needs to be reduced, for the service received it is simply far too much.

We stayed for a night in a double and enjoyed the pittoresque feel of this small hostel. The staff speaks good English, the WiFi is alright, the room and shower were fine and it was nice to be able to sit in both the shade, in the sun on the roof terrace or in the little weatherproof room on the roof. The hostel feels a bit out of the way of interesting places, though there is enough exploring to do. The rooms could get a finishing touch by removing tape and covering electrical wiring.

A 24/H reception is very convenient, extremely well placed, though the Subway stops are a little far. Real Beijing Hutong atmosphere is a stroll away from the hostel. Well decorated and very calm.

I needed a hostel near Xidan so the location was perfect for me, besides it`s really close to Tiananmen, Beihai park and Wanfujin. The rooms are big, beds are comfortable, fine bathroom. There is a terrace, but it didn`t seem lively when I was there, besises if you want to have breakfast there you have to order one day in advance. Good value for money!

Staff were fantastic and even booked us a taxi for early airport run, came out and explained were to go etc there were lockers but no keys to secure them but there's a locked door at the entrance. Good place :)

Lovely place to stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the hostel is very peaceful. The location is great too, a real hutong not swarming with tourists. I would certainly stay there again.

Best hutong hostel ! Templeside is very nice and located out of the tourist crowd. You will have the pleasure to enjoy a very relaxing atmosphere ... with several local restaurants around to be tried ! The staff was really helpfull and provided me several advices.

Bit of a distance from the metro, but that's the only drawback. Otherwise a friendly and pleasant place to stay.
