Had a really good time at Tercero del Sur. Staff were really cool to hang out with on the few days that it was pouring with rain during our stay in the city.

I loved staying at this place, mostly because of the staff, all of the guys are so incredibly nice and helpfull. The building itself is not bad, but it is build in a way that when people are having a drink in the evening and they are loud, it just very difficult to get some rest. Also the rooms need some updating. the bathroom was pretty good, loved the shower! wifi was good in the reception. I got stuck in BA due to the strike, but I did not mind staying at TDS a little longer, had lots of fun!

Altogther a nice stay in the hostel. Staff is super helpful and freindly. Cleaniless is a bit of an issue there.

really nice common areas, two kitchens, terrace on the roof with barbecue, deck chairs. friendly staff! rooms are quite small, actually no place to leave the backpacks. but i definitly recommend it for one or two nights...

Excellent little hostel, with great helpful staff. Breakfast was good, make sure your there early before it runs out. WARNING: we had someone throw stuff on our bags and a lady was super 'helpful', we didn't fool for it we kept walking- do not take off your bags, this was just outside the hostel!

Amazing staff and fantastic people - semi-permanent residents - meant that it was really easy to meet people. Hostel itself isn.t great - the cleaner works hard but there needs to be more than one of her, because the bathrooms and kitchen are dirty. Two showers and two in the ladies are not enough in a hostel of 30 or 40 people, and they are old. The toilets are broken, the showers have transparent partitions. The whole place is old and needs renovation. Beds are comfortable. lockers good.

Having to buzz yourself out and except the guy on the next end to be awake and available is not only a nuisance but a safety hazard, like for instance in the case of a fire. Location and excellent wi-fi was actually the only good things about this hostel.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear, thanks for choosing us for your stay. The buzzing in/out is strictly a matter of security. We had to choose between safety and an easier way to get out of the hostel and we chose security. We're sorry if you find it annoying but we have to watch for our customer's safety first. As for the fire issue, we care and fully apply to all the regulations that the city of Buenos Aires demand. Hope to see you again in the future. Best, Crew of Tercero del Sur.

You get for what you pay. Absolute plus is the location right in the center of San Telmo. Unfortunately the rooms are very noisy and the showers need a bit of cleaning. If you're here to party you'll have an excellent time. When you aren't, there are a lot of other places to go.

We had this hostel booked for 3 nights but ended up staying just one. Probably didn't stay long enough to judge the atmosphere and facilities but in terms of value for money it wasn't worth what we paid comparatively.

I was really surprised when i arrived in the hostel. I only chose it because it was one of the cheapest, but it turned out to be one of the BEST!!!Very good location, everything just outside the door, staff SUPERNICE (actually the nicest staff i have met in 2 months in a hostel). Very clean (only my room stank a little bit, but i think that was the fault of my roommates, very clean (finally a kitchen taht you really want to use). If I go back to Buenos AIres, ill definitely stay here again!

Great place in the vibrant neighbourhood with very friendly and helpful staff. Would not recommend this place to someone looking for a quiet place though.

The hostel itself was fine, the staff was friendly, we were genuinly happy until Check out. This is when problems started: they charged us more than what we were supposed to be paying, and when we said that it was not right, we got virtually yelled at by the staff (the italian guy, dark hair, small beard), and simply told us that he didnt care about our money and we should just get lost.

Hostel lacked atmosphere. Some of the hostel rooms are right next to a kitchen, so very noisy and there was no rules about how late people can cook. So didn't get much sleep and the beds were old and one had a broken leg. There are other nicer hostels in San Telmo.
