Beautiful view! But there were not enough bathrooms which was a bit annoying.

Nice location with a great view and good breakfast. The rooms were nice and the staff was very helpful But don`t trust that you will get a cab to the airport, when you ordered it the night before leaving in the early morning, because ours did not came. But this is more a problem of Santa Teresa and less of the hostel. The bathroom was not always clean

Amazing view! You have a great view on Rio´s centre from the balconies. The Santa Teresa quarter is a nice place to take a walk and there are some real good restaurants in the near of the hostel.

This was an awesome hostel! The views were incredible, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and there is nothing better than waking up to have a fresh open air breakfast with a view out over the city! It was easy to catch a bus or metro, and if you didn't feel like walking up/ down the hill the front desk would call for a taxi. Great value for the money and I would definitely stay again!

Very relaxing hostel with probably one of the best views of the city. Does not have much of an environment but i stayed here for a night and would stay here again. But the location is not bad from Lapa but climbing up the street is ROUGH after a few drinks.

This hostel is on top of a big hill. Do not make the mistake as we did of trying to haul your luggage all the way up by yourself. It will cost R$10 to get up to the hostel by taxi from Lapa but it is worth the hour effort climbing stone streets. Location is close to Lapa and centro, and has a great view from up high. The staff is very hippie so no soap, and you have to wash your own plates at breakfast. No American outlets. Best for a single night stay

This was a great place to stay, really lovely and welcoming hostel in a great location with views over the city, I will be recommending it to people as I go... In fact I already have! The staff, especially Guara, were kind and helpful and interesting to talk to. The other travellers there at the time were my kind of people, laid back and open to getting to know new people and being really sociable, but also respectful of the other guests.

Great location and amazing view over Rio from the hostel´s terrace! Place was clean and had good facilities, and the 2 person room with own balcony was really nice. Also the location near Lapa and Centro is practical, if you don´t mind a bit of excercise climbing up the steep winding alleys. Only small minus comes for the rather poor breakfast.

best view on rio from the hostels terrace! very good breakfest, really friendly and helpful staff. good location to go out eating or partying. also close to bus stops or metro stations to get to the beaches/ sugar loaf/ corcovado etc. prices weren't that good but we've been there "accidently" during the easter holidays... highly recommend it!

Hmmm; staff is great, the place is clean, but the location is not so great...

This hostel was excellent! It is located very close to Lapa, centrum and a metro! The rooms are very bright and spacious, and it has a great view from the rooftop terraces! The staff are very friendly and helpful!! The only thing that wasn't very good was the kitchen and the internet. But both still functioned, just not perfect!

Excellent atmosphere at this hostel in one of Rio's most charming neighborhoods. Up the hill from the Lapa nightlife. Note this place isn't walking distance from the beach. Clean and attractive. The bathroom was a little bit small and not well designed. The breakfast was good for the price although I wasn't as impressed as other guests. The staff were great. Overall I loved the place and will definitely stay there the next time I go to Rio.

This hostel was lovely and I´d recommend it. We had a huge private bedroom with a balcony with amazing views of Rio. There were kitchen facilities which was good as we could make our own food. It is a bit out of the way and so the walk up the hill from Gloria station was a bit of a pain at the end of a busy day sightseeing, but I loved Santa Teresa. (The tram up to Santa Teresa is out of service now.) The Ruins across the road are worth popping into as well.
