Its a nice placed located very close to the taxi/bus stand that provides access to the rest of Sabah.

The Terrace is exactly what you should expect for a fairly cheap, fairly old, mid-level hotel. It's not fancy, but you're not paying for fancy. Everything is a bit worn and run down, but functional, livable, and not offensive. I'd definitely consider it a perfectly acceptable option for anyone traveling on a budget.

The shower is very weak. The water is cool. I can't take a bath/shower normally.

A nice and friendy hotel. But it was too cold in the room! Could not turn off the airconditioner! Froze all night!

Food was boring and not that much option really. To my astonishing surprise breakfast wasn't included considering how much the rooms cost (I found out whilst having it and it was kinda tasteless anyway, if only knew that I would have gone to the market). There was a mild smell of smoke(ashtray) in the bedroom, that didn't bother me as i smoke myself, but it wasn't that bad though. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel.

When we arrived, our room was a mess, probably they forgot to set it up, anyway they give us another good room. One of the cheapest hotels in BSB, it seems a bit decadent (probably 30/40 years ago it had to be above level), but anyway it is a good alternative if other accommodations are unavailable. Easy access to the center, clean rooms, there is a food court in the field nearby, it's better than the inner restaurant. Breakfast a bit disappointing, but at least there is a nice pool behind.
