Clean, quiet and in a good location with a view. Free breakfast and tea/coffee all day was great. Worth the climb up the hill.

Front staff lost our reservation that I had made almost 2 months prior. The language barrier was tough, even after I showed her my hostelworld reservation number. After an hour, she squeezed us in a matrimonial room and added 2 beds for our group of 4. The water wasn't working because of construction down the street and all we wanted to do was shower after the 4-day Inca Trail. Eventually it worked and the rest of our stay was nice, but this proved frustrating.

Location is very handy to all transportation--easy walk to railway, bus to Machu Picchu, and walk was a bit longer than we thought to the actual location of the Hot Springs, but worth the walk. It was helpful to find towels & suits to rent for the hot springs, take your own toilet paper, ladies . Staff was exceptionally cordial, helpful and personable. It was next to the rushing river which made for great photos and the sound of the water may or not bother you--it didn't bother us.

All you need in Aguas Calientes! Breakfast - and what a breakfast it was - was served really early so guests could get the first buses to Machu Piccu. I'd say is a 5 stars hotel for backpackers! On the way back from Machu Picchu, the rivers nearby makes this a very relaxing choice.

This quaint hostel is beautifully situated next to the roaring river flowing through Aguas Calientes, adding a calming background noise during the entire stay. Delicious, free breakfast, as well as cheap sandwiches made in-house by a very kind staff member. Soledad was very kind and allowed us to check out late, as well offered us tips for where to go in the town. A great place to return after a long day at Machu Picchu!

Staffs are very helpful and cheerful, however, the room smell of damp and WiFi never works (were told it might work later...)

This hostel was just perfect. The location was not far from the buses for Machu Pichu and also just down the road from the thermal pools. The staff were fantastic and organised a tour guide for us - that came up on the third bus at 5:30am. He stayed with us until 10am.

The staff and owners were very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. And location was just right....not far from anything....the train station, the buses to MP, the market, restaurants, etc. Would return there any time!

A lot of humidity in the room, freezing, smell of paint, a lot of noise coming up from the lobby and outside as it was on the first floor. Not terrible but not nice either.

It's located a bit uphill, but the location is good. It has all the basics: hot shower and comfortable bed and sheets. The bathroom and bedroom are very simple, doesn't even have a wardrobe. The city and, specially, the room are very humid, the towels wont dry! The staff was very friendly, they arranged an excellent tour on Machu Picchu (s/ 20), made us some sandwiches for that day (s/ 10), let us stay late after checkout hours (8am). Overall I think it is a good value for money hotel.

This is a perfect choise if you'll sleep in Aguas Calientes. They pick you up on the train station, take to the hostel (5 min. walking), give you ALL the information about Machu Picchu you want to know! And then you're free and well informed to explore the city. They even let you stay there in the living room while you wait your train, when you go down from Machu P. to come back to Cusco. The room was OK, with hot water. I would really recomend. All the best, Thiago

The first day and night were great - hot water, clean bathroom, nice fluffy towel. For the private-room price, I was really pleased. The second day, however, both the soap and toilet paper had gone missing, the towel was thin and old, and the hot water didn't work. Maybe this place was hit-and-miss comfort-wise, but the staff was incredibly friendly the whole time.

The room had a great view of the river, although this contributed to a somewhat noisy ambiance. The bed, and pillows were very comfortable and the staff was friendly and accomodating.
