Car:
To get to Kailash Akhara from Bangkok, head north on Highway 1 towards Saraburi. Once past Saraburi continue north onto Highway 21 towards Phetchabun and Lom Sak. Go through Petchabun or take the bypass. Continue toward Lom Sak. From Lom Sak take Highway 203 north towards Dan Sai/Phu Ruea. Off of Highway 203 between Dan Sai and Phu Ruea turn right onto Pla Ba Road (ARD.LY.4054), 7 kilometers before the village of Phu Reua. On your right, at the corner of Highway 203 and Pla Ba road, you will see Wat Pho Sawang, a row of country shops, a restaurant and two blue signs pointing you toward Pla Ba road to the local waterfalls. Go down Pla Ba road 3.5 kilometers and turn right onto the dirt road with the Adi-Yoga sign on the corner. Continue down the dirt road 1 kilometer until you reach Kailash Akhara on the left.

Bus:
Buses to our area depart from the Northern Bus Terminal – Mo Chit Station in Bangkok. The bus terminal is easily accessible by taxi and BTS (Bangkok SkyTrain) or MRT (underground subway) station. From the BTS or MRT MoChit station you will need to take a short taxi ride to the actual MoChit bus terminal. A taxi will cost 50-70 baht. It is also very easy to get to the MoChit bus terminal from the airport. Get a taxi from the airport and ask to go to the Mo Chit Bus Station. The cost for the taxi from the airport should be around 250 to 500 baht depending on the traffic.

MoChit Bus terminal telephone: +66 (0) 25378055.

The town of Phu Ruea is 14 kilometers north-east of Kailash Akhara. Buses will drop you at the local bus stop in the central town market. The locals are very helpful and familiar with Adi-Yoga/Kailash Akhara. Taxis are sometimes available at the market but we suggest you arrange for a taxi ahead of time.

Getting from Phu Ruea to Kailash Akhara:
Please email or call us to arrange for a taxi. We recommend booking a taxi well in advance as taxi’s are often limited in our area. Taxi’s will cost 300 THB from Phu Ruea and 700 THB from Loei. Please make sure you have the correct amount for the driver before departure. Change is usually not available.
