Location is not too bad. Although mentioned otherwise on certain platforms. There was not really much going on the days we were there. Sadly our room wasn't that clean. The beds were OK, but have seen many travellers before us. On the second day the Internet was not working in one of the buildings, and was a bit slow. Showers are hot, but moody.
If you've been travelling through Bolivia and Peru, Adventure Brew's pancake breakfast is a really nice change from the usual stale bread with butter and jam. A small free beer every evening is sweet too but the noise from the bar won't keep you up at night, especially if you're on the second level. Wifi was decent and showers were mostly warm. The kitchen could be cleaner and could use a bit more cutlery.
This place is a great place to stay if you are looking to enjoy a few of their own brewed beers and meet folk. It has the option of dorms above the bar or their are quieter private rooms along the street. The hostel had everything you would need and was clean, welcoming and lively. The kitchen is definitely worth frequenting (although street food in La Paz is tasty and cheap) as is the bar. Not a bad shout although there are certainly cheaper places in La Paz in similar locations.
Great hostel, would recommend. Very cool that you get a free beer each night. Nice to have pancakes for breakfast but if you are staying here a few days you might start to crave cereal and bread. Location was good as only a 10 minute walk to the main square and around the corner from the bus terminal. Staff were helpful and the bathrooms were cleaned regularly.
Wi-fi sięgnął could be stronger and some improvments to breakfast menu can be considered
I really enjoyed my stay there. If you want to book a tour to the Salar de Uyuni better don´t do it there. The Agency they worked with was quite a mess. Our guide didn´t explain a word on the whole 3 days tour... Apart from that some don´t like that there are just pancakes for breakfast every day. I love pancakes and they where quite well so I can´t complain. It´s close to the bus terminal (3 minutes walk), so you don´t need to take a taxi. All in all a great place to stay and to meet people.
While the location is garbage, the hostel is clean, beds are comfy and cozy, and the vibe in the bar is nice. Breakfast is average and the wifi is spotty, but if you want a hostel that isn't empty but also isn't a super party hostel, this place is for you.
The hostel was pretty alright, it's a party hostel, so if that's your thing, then it's fine. It's actually 2 buildings. One where the private rooms are, and internet works, and the other one, the overflow parking, filled with dorms. It had a nice cosy bar, It was really close to the bus station, and had a good atmosphere.
We had a private room ensuite. Downhill from the bus station (~ 5 min walk). Within walking distance of Plaza San Francisco, the witch markets and the strip tourist goods shops. Staff was competent. Gravity's, tour company offering death road rides, representative desk located onsite. Two separate buildings but next door to one another. Breakfast is pancakes every day, which can get boring very quickly. Capacity of the hostel and the nightly free beers results in social atmosphere.
located very close to bus station and security guard on door 24/7. we arrived off nightbus and our room wasnt ready so we left bags and strolled into town. we arrived back at 3pm checkin time beong 2pm to find we still had to wait for room. reception staff are very slow and scatty. lovely comfortable hostel otherwise. free pancakes every morning which were lovely.
Good hostel fine ect, but the lady at the bar couldn't care less and just sat there and looked stoned. Our food was disgusting.
Is very close to the bus station and easy to get to the main touristic places. The bad side is not having a kitchen on the building, you have to go to another building to cook. And the started painting the bathroom while I was there, so everynight the room had a very strong smell of paint. And the bathroom on first floor was out of order, so it was needed to go to another floor to use the bathroom.
We looked around a fair bit to find the best place to stay in La Paz and overall, I think we found it. The beds are comfortable, the rooms not too cold with the help of extra blankets, the wifi is pretty good, the showers are hot and you get a free breakfast and beer every day. It's a 10 min walk to town so not right in the centre but really not far. We stayed for a week and have no complaints. Some towels for the room would be welcome if you're looking to improve. Would stay again.
we stayed in the b and b so was very quiet at night but was great to have the bar next door (which had a good atmosphere). booked the death road through the hostel which was great as well. stayed for 5 nights without any problems.
The Adventure Brew Hostel was a very good place to stay. Although it has its own bar, I wouldn't exactly call it a 'party hostel'. It's more of a fun hostel in which you can drink downstairs and sleep peacefully upstairs. The staff were helpful, there's a booking agency in the building it's well-maintained. Each bed comes with a decently sized locker and the showers have between hot and very hot water and the Wi-Fi is good when working. Overall, definitely stay here for the price.
Quiet place in the privates but the pub up the road was a great place to meet people
Efficient hostel close to bus station and easy walk to city centre. Breakfast included. Sociable atmosphere. Kanoo tours have an office here so can book loads of stuff for you. Lockers in rooms. Hot showers. Wifi a lityle temperamental. Overall woukd revommend.
Might have had the most clueless staff, both locals and traveling staff, I have ever come across. They weren't rude or anything, but just very stupid. This was a complaint from everyone I talked to who stayed there. Other than that, I think this is a great place. Good breakfast, atmosphere, great beds (lockers underneath/personal light/plug socket). So the owner set up a great place, he just needs to hire better staff!
Very,very friendly personnel,good price,good location,good security
I stayed at both the B&B (2 nights) and the Hostel (1 night). They are a 30 second walk from each other. The B&B is quieter than the hostel, which was loud until around 1am most nights, then partygoers would head to other hostels or clubs in La Paz. Water at the B&B was generally hot, staff and security were friendly enough. There were extra blankets that helped during the -1 degree nights. Hostel restaurant was good. You can stay at the B&B, still party at the hostel, and sleep better. I liked.
