This is a good hostel. Your classic large, busy loud hostel. So if you want a quite time head next door to their B&B place, we stayed there was very nice and was good to be able to still head next door and get around the bar and games etc. On one NEGATIVE note, they stuffed up our booking at the start (not happy after 20+ hours on buses) and then when we left they tried to charge us more as we had not payed when we arrived ( the lady stipulated when we checked in that it was fine at end.
The rooms are noisy and cold but clean. The showers are either roasting hot or freezing cold it's hard to wash yourself . The wifi goes on and off.basic breakfast of pancakes and coffee/tea. We got our laundry done there and had to pay for it twice as they had no record of us paying the first time .The doors are locked at night and we were locked out of the hostel at 3 am for about 15 minutes in the cold as the security guard was asleep.
This hostel is a short walk from the bus station but a good 20 minute walk from the downtown attractions. This hostel is large so it isn`t the easiest place to meet people. The shared bathrooms are clean but hot water can be sporadic. The dorm rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Lockers are provided in both the dorm rooms and at reception. The breakfast is all you can eat pancakes which can get monotonous. The staff are English speaking and helpful and you get a free beer each night .
Nice pancake breakfast and big, open rooms with comfortable beds.
Good stuff: Quite social with nice bars and free beer each night. Liked the pancake & coffee breakfast. Rooms spacious & nice (but ours faced a wall & was always a bit dark - I'd ask for street side). Staff nice & very secure. Bad stuff: It was absolutely freezing! There are 2 heaters to hire but every room needs one & it shouldn't be extra. Showers bit unreliable. Food was a bit average & a bit on the cold side. Located near bus station but nothing much around it & bit of a walk to town.
Both places, the B&B and the Hostel are gread. Good bars, nice and helpfull staff and always cool people to hang out with.
Good place to stay close to the bus station, let us check in early. beer is good. We enjoyed our stay at adventure brew
average hostel, was fine but not great!
Does what it says on the tin, the hostel is under construction - a pool. Everywhere is covered in dust with not too much going on in the common area. Rooms are basic and could have been cleaner. No Wifi available but there is a lap top at reception which can be used if required.
At first I thought they weren´t very organized, since we arrived at 3am and they didn´t seem to have our reservations, however, at the end they found us a room. Apart from that, the staff was nice, especially at the end, they were very kind and helpful. This is a great hostel for people who only speak english, because surprisingly a few members of the staff didn´t seem to have a good level of spanish.
Nice and Easy Stay. They have a booking agancy in the Hostel. Good Service.
Great energy in this place. Lovely staff and comfy beds. The bar is great for hanging out and meeting people and the daily free beer is a winner. The water temperature in the girls dorm was a bit hit and miss but the main bathrooms had great hot water. Sadly I got ferocious food poisoning from an omlette here but I was the only one so I think it was a one off. Would come back anytime if I were in La Paz again.
It is not an especially clean hostel but ot offers a lot of amenities, friendly and helpful staff. A good place, particularly if you like beer (I recommend the dark one).
The hostel was generally an ok choice and I don't have anything to complain about. However the staff at reception was incredibly slow (I tried to pay twice and was asked to return later) and didn't know how to deal with my hostelworld booking. Make sure you get your 10% discount when paying. I was almost charged the entire amount, had I not insisted that I had already paid a deposit through hostelworld!
A very over-priced hostel for what you get. The crappy cold pancake breakfast was simply depressing, staff were pretty frosty and the late check-in time extremely frustrating when you've just arrived on a night bus. The free beer at night maybe a nice touch, and the bar is friendly and a good place to meet people, but it doesn't quite make up for the fact that you're staying in what feels like a sixth form centre from the late 90s, complete with Oasis on the stereo.
This place has two buildings, one called hostel and one called B
Hostel was fine, lovation was fine.. But we Think the staff was a little bit bad, we could not have breakfast the first day we arrived, even though the knew that we were not abel to have breakfast the day we were leaving.. And the room we booked was not free, so we got a poor room..
The hostel part is nice, clean and has a bar/restaurant, pooltable and pingpongtable. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is nice but after more then 2 days you might like another breakfast. Showers are ok. Only thing disappointing was the kitchen. They say fully equiped kitchen, there are 2 pots, some mugs, 3 forks and no knives. And the kitchen is at the B
Great character, Simple pancake breakfast, No simple TV room, Would stay again...

PROS: Close to bus station and only 15 minute walk into centre. Quiet hostel and comfy beds. CONS: Average atmosphere
