Adventure Brew is a great place full of great people. Free beer is always a plus in my book, although the free pancakes always ends too early for me to get any. 10 am? We're backpackers, and we party! It should be pancakes until 12 noon! But still, ABH is a fun place to meet lots of cool people from all over the world. I wound up spending more time in the bar there than out and about in the La Paz nightlife. And Saya Beer... Yummmmm... Best beer I've had in South America.

The staff were mostly friendly. Wifi coverage throughout the place would be great. Right now, its only in the bar. Food is pretty good. The place is clean.

The hostel was clean and the bar was lots of fun but the room was noisy and the showers didn't have a place to hang your things.

To put it plainly, we thought the Adventure Brew Hostal was a dump. It was dirty, there was no hot water and although I can apprecaite the party atmosphere, it was loud. They offer a free pancake breakfast but they don´t tell you that you´re responsible for cleaning the dishes and silverware yourself and then getting your breakfast. Things were so bad that we decided not to stay here again when we came back to La Paz. Instead, we opted for Estrella Andina which is so much better.

Good hostel, nice and helpful people who also know a lot about La Paz itself (where to book tours, flights, buy things etc).

Great place to stay to relax, still a party hostel if you want it to be but made a nice change from some of the other hostels in La Paz

Private room with en suite.Shower was either extremly hot or icy cold.Bathroom door locked itself.Staff where unable to find a key for it for nearly two hours. Inside room and shower were exposed cables and electrical sockets. Nice Hostel other than that.

My biggest issue with the Adventure Brew was the night staff (whose job it is to stay awake and let you into the hostel) who would fall asleep. So if you return at any time between 12 - 6am, you spend 10 minutes pushing the buzzer, banging the door and trying to get them to let you in! Other staff members were great. The Ted is a legend. It also never gets any easier to reach that bar on the top floor each night...

Nice place to stay, although the original building could need some renovation, is quite dark, and a little far out from all the fun stuff. Also somebody told me during my last night that I slept on the same bedsheets as the person before me because they got mixed up with the beds or something. But great Pancake breakfast and great location if you want to catch a bus to somewhere. Rooftop bar is genius!
