Newly renovated, the Allen Lee has recently re-opened under new management. Most of the interior of the building has been re-painted and re-carpeted. The plaster and the plumbing have been repaired, and many rooms have all new furnishings. The telephone system has been updated, and Cable TV has been added. Among the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The location of the hotel is good and the stay would have been ok if at least the staff had been a bit friendlier or at least polite. On top of the fact that our room was in the basement with trash can view, all members of staff we spoke to were really grumpy and not helpful at all. When we came back to pick our stored luggage and had a cab waiting outside no one was at the reception to attend us. I would not stay there again.
