I have stayed at many hostels throughout the world and this is by far the worst Hostel I have ever stayed at. Here is part of my Journal entry as to why it is so bad: both showers are freezing and leak, the kitchen is very dirty and nothing works, the owner has no knowledge of the local area let alone who is actually staying in the hostel, the owner was not even there at checkout and has no formal reception desk, the hostel walls are "fixed" by shoving a towel through hole in the wall. Its Awful

The guy who worked at the hostel was excellent, and helped us out when there were no beds available in the hostel during sziget fest. However showers weren't the cleanest, but overall not too had an experience.

Possibly the worst hostel of our three week trip. Yes, it's cheap but the showers and toilets are in such poor condition and are so dirty that you leave craving a proper wash! The rooms are acceptable with bunk beds and seemingly clean sheets. The hostel workers are quite strict on security and lockers are available. Unfortunately the attendant warned us to always lock up or "the gypsies will be in to steal your things". It's close to the train station but not a place you want to be at night.

A really good hostel near to the central station of Budapest but not so near the centre. really good the bakery in the same street and the 24/7 open supermarket! the receptionist is ready to help and tell you about the city! you can change money in the hostel which is really good because in Budapest many change tries to stole you. you can do the cleaning if you want.

I made the reservation at the last minute, but the guy who ran the hostel was very accommodating. Despite my protests he helped me with my bags and showed me how to use the key code to enter the building. Note: The hostel is in a shared walk-up building, several floors up. The hostel is very close to the train and metro station, but at least a half hour walk to most main sights. My private room had a great window, but the street below was noisy at night. Overall, okay place to lay your head.

We had to wait an hour before someone let us in the hostel. We told them when we'd be there. One of the staff members had a family emergency; I understand those things happen. We paid €40 for a dirty room next to a very loud street, granted, it was a private room. Location was good because it was next to the train station, but almost everyone we saw was either drunk, homeless, and yelling or they were on drugs. I don't recommend this place unless there's nowhere else.

I can't say anything about Aquarium because the attendant was not there when we arrived, forcing us to find another hostel. It was in a residential apartment building with OK security, looked small, can't say much more. Owner was very kind about returning the deposit and the mix-up
