Such a nice place and run by a really lovely woman! We were lucky enough to have the whole lodge to ourselves.

We had the place to ourselves for 3 days in the easter holidays. We enjoyed it a lot. Good kitchen, lovely lounge (with sea-view), and all very very clean. Only when we left did we hear that the 'man of the house' had been in the hospital during our stay. That we were made to feel so welcome in what must have been a very hard week, really touched us. We will definitely return to the Aran Lodge soon.

It's a good place to go for some rest and relaxation, a solid 15 minute walk from the pier. Staff friendly, but very substandard breakfast. There's no internet here so bring some good books and lots of warm clothes as it isn't very warm, but extra douves and pillows are available if wanted.

The hostel was quite nice. The bedroom was ok, you have a kitchen where you can cook something. It was good, very simple. I would go there again. Stuff is very nice.

The place was lovely and calm, but not of the cleanest. We arrived just after Christmas so it took a little while until everything was set up. The customares arriving 1 day after us had already a much cleaner and warmer place. The house was quite cold, especially the room in which the heat turned on only at 10.30pm. Knowing that in winter it's calm there, you might go to bed much earlier that that! The location is very good, and both people taking care of the house, Maria and John are lovely!
