This place is amazing for a hostel. The staff are so helpful and polite. The facilities are amazing, you even get a flask of hot water left outside your door in the morning so that you can make tea in your room. They also clean your rooms daily. We stayed at Backpack & Africa hostel in November 2009, and without doubt it was the best place we stayed at in Sth Africa. We had a private room with bathroom which overlooked the pool, and the view of Table Mountain out the window is superb. The friendly staff at the Backpack organise all the tours for you so you just have to ask. They also have a great bar and Cafe with good fresh food which was well priced. The hostel has a great feel about it,even a friendly cat and dog!We stayed at Backpack & Africa hostel in November 2009, and without doubt it was the best place we stayed at in Sth Africa. This is by far the best backpackers I have ever stayed at! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect! The swimming pool is great, the bar is amazing, the shared kitchen and living room spaces are awesome... all around a wonderful place to stay! I highly recommend staying at the The Backpack and Africa Travel Centre!!!This is by far the best backpackers I have ever stayed at!
